Just got out of a meeting with the figma team. Much of their time was taken up by the last Tokyo Anime fair so they didn't manage to drill the holes and fit in the figma joints yet.

Next step is to drill the holes, stick in the joins and check the articulation. After that, a clone is made and this decoration master will be painted. Cant wait!

The data is based on the 3D model by the talented Ionized who made the initial 3D Figma Mirai.

And for those who just got here - this is the figurization of my mascot character Mirai Suenaga.

        He has asked us about figurizing her, but he's also asked about several things that were at humor's expense. Remember the Mirai ero game? :P I remember his past april fools. He's totally the type to slide in something real that seems surreal, and then go "tadah!" and totally make us go "wha?"

I certainly hope Ionized gets (at least) a free Mirai Figma for the effort and hard work he put into the 3D images which made this Figma possible. He did a fantastic job and I can't believe it was simply fanart and not a commission! I can't wait to see the final version. =^_^=

Looks good. I'm always partial to the clear-color plastic figures, so this is cool. The only thing better would be glow-in-the-dark Mirai. The timing is interesting, on April Fools Day, but too much time, effort and money goes into the production of a figure for this to be a prank. Considering Billy Herrington is getting his own Figma, I think Mirai is legit.

Looks really nice, cant wait to see it painted. Right now it reminds me of candle wax and looks kind of fragile. The hands look a little off to me, but I'm sure it will come with a few alternates. Wonder how much it will go for...looking forward to seeing the finished version!

If this is not an April Fools Joke, cause Danny's involved in quite a few this year,I would definitely get a black haired blue uniformed Mirai and probably pick up an original version as well.

And if it is an April Fools joke...we can always stuff Danny into on of his dakimakura and tape him to a telephone pole. Unless one of the readers just happens to have an old fashioned stocks laying around that could be used instead. :P ^^

Never play with the emotions of rabid otaku.

Maybe you can also compiled a wish list from other readers who love Figma... so MF/GSC can use the data for R&D ... (well, maybe just a stupid idea from me)

Nonetheless, Figma Mirai is not on the list as it is now already under development process and sure to be released in the future... I will surely buy Mirai san...

And, can you tell GSC to include extra joint for backup? I have mine (Konata Figma) broken because falling from my desk (around 1meter high).... for now I just super glue-ing the joint and make it permanent...

Hey Danny, my company have a 3D software name ZBrush (www.pixologic.com), which is a sculpting software which can be use to produce such figures. We see more and more companies which are using it.
Do you know if Figma, GSC, etc. can be interesting in such software?
