I guess I find the figure news and events the main reason why I frequent the site, particularly around wonderfestival as Dannys coverage is pretty decent but also shares lots of useful links to other bloggers.

I tend not to pay as much attention to the life in japan stuff as a lot of what danny talks about, I somehow found out from other places. It's sometimes freaky how much i have picked up just by talking to my japanese friends and the like...

I love the life in Japan stuff, but I come for the whole shebang. Been a long time fan of the site.

My mind was screaming "Wardrobe Malfunction" after I read that two strings keeping panties up and rubber cups clinging to dear life...

I don't know which to vote. I love DC cos it has everything in here! About Life in Japan.. Motivational articles.. Figures.. Anime.. and I even learn new stuff bout other countries ^^ And of course, member news.

I voted for life in Japan, but I actually enjoy everything. This site, for me, it's like Japan, in all it's diversity. Even though I have never been to Japan, I feel like this. And untill I can't go (or live) there, visiting here gives me a little glimpse of what it's like.

Life in Japan is the main reason I've become a reader. Figures, lets say are nice to look at XD

I'd say life in Japan with figures as a close second.

While I enjoy the figure reviews, I personally find myself more drawn toward the Life in Japan type of articles.

The photos and descriptions of 'daily' life in Japan is what I like, naturally though, with Kagami included...

My favorite articles are about daily life in Japan, like garbage disposal and flyers.

I love her hair! Its so unique and the flower on the base is a nice touch.

I visit the site mostly for Figure news and reviews. The coverage on life in Japan is a nice bonus since I plan to visit Japan someday. Now I come for both. <3

Personally, I feel the Life in Japan stuff is more important. But, (as most of us said awhile ago when you redesigned the landing page) I feel that DC is mainly about Japan AND figures. We get a fair amount of Figure member news, which are holding the fort, but there's been hardly any figure reviews from you lately, Danny.

I think both are important content that keeps me coming back to DC.
but it's true that I could get my share of figure news from some other site as well.
However now that Danny is getting more and more inside scoop from inside the industry and not just posting released news and buying released figure, I think the tide has changed for a bit.

I think you should keep it as it is, the balance seems fine to me.

Content is a tough one for me, I have interest in most subjects you cover, figures, life in Japan, anime, otaku culture,... and I also enjoy reading the motivational articles.

I'm with Life in Japan and that's what make me keep visiting DC.com since figu reviews can be easily found through other websites.

Its all about the Life in Japan for me and i really like seeing what food you eat, which is a bit weird. Figures are cool but im more into making Macross models with the odd Gundam added in.

I was wondering will Danny ever go to one of those Karoke rooms often seen in anime?

Danny, need a little help. I'm gonna buy a new lens for my DSLR but cn't decide on whether I should get a Macro lens or an all round lens with Macro mode.

What lens do you use for your figure shoots? If you can provide a direct link to the product, it'll be great; otherwise just the basic stats will do as well (like F size and zoom length).

I like a balance between all the different subjects here. Idols, figures, life in Japan, they all interest me.

as much as i enjoy looking at the great figures you post, the life in japan posts really interest me! i've been to japan once and hope to go back in a couple of years.

Life in Japan grabs my attention most of the time, not to mention the motivational articles you do now and them.. The figures is just a plus for me..

As much as I would like to say life in Japan being honest with myself I realized that my obsession with figures is really what keeps me and also bring me here in the first place, though I still love those photo walking articles and it's a complement, it will be boring just about figures but again without them I wouldn't be here, so they're in first place.

Life in Japan for the motivational walks posts. To have someone living their dream trying to motivate the rest of us to find/follow our own is priceless.

I wish I hadnt decided not to buy anymore figures, and just the let odd ones I have left on preorder arrive and thats it. I like this figure, a lot. Unfortunately lack of room means no more figures, for now.

I'd have to say that you're striking a good balance, Danny, with your life in Japan and Figure posts. Can't say which is a more important topic to cover here but with regards to the site title, it says "Your Portal to Japan" so if I were to follow that, I'd say that the Life in Japan posts outweigh the figure posts just by a nudge. But as DC.com has become a mecca for otaku's like us, then I'd say that figure posts do cover a good portion of our interests.

Either way, I'd say that there's a good balance between both topics as both do stick true to your site's vision-mission.

I love the little, transparent "wing" things and the dynamic pose. It's good to see more and more dynamic, unique poses from figure makers! However, I'm not a big fan of the bra cups, gravity-defying pantsu, and patterned hair all in one fat clump. I love articulate hair, so the more sculpted and detailed it is, then the more appealing it is to me. XD I'm going to have to pass on this one. =^_^=
