Surprisingly, there isn't much that caught my eye. Nothing really stands out to me except for the Lucky Star cheerleaders, and the girl in a yutaka with a fan two pictures above that. Most of them had something that bugged me - the Strike Witches' faces, for example.

Another would be the Mizunashi Akari one. I assume it's a kit, but...well, I'm completely guessing here. But even this is only because there's hardly any ARIA figures out there and I'm a complete Akari fanboy. Her face seems a bit off, even if loosely based off the manga covers and not the anime.

Nice coverage! Unfortunately the only real figure events I've seen in NYC is when the anime con drops by. Even that is lacking. Its just the random anime shops selling overpriced gundam models.

Great work on those photos, and thanks for posting them up for us! You've given me a really good idea of what was going on, and lots to think about. That Asuka/Eva combo is a neat idea, and I see some more action figures that interest me, too.

On another note, it's good to see liquidstone still pumping out their poseable figures. Might use the chance to get a Nanoha to compliment my Fate.

The posable fate and Aegis figures look rather good too. Saber lily and Tomoyo look pretty good too but not must buy.

Dannys choice of Kazami Mizuho from Onegai Teacher was pretty good but I always preferred her subdued teacher look as opposed to her sexy look.
But I guess I should be happy that there's nothing in particular that I want (except Sheryl, tho I would prefer one of her other costumes) as my funds are a little stretched, being christmas and all...

I'm digging the landmates from Appleseed 23763 and 23764. I'm hoping that they arent a kit because my modeling skills are the suck, and I wouldnt want my landmate to look like crap.

Just a low budget anime covention. Plsu the figure that they do sell are more there than on line. PLus they do not carry that big of a selction.

Ohhhh I want all those strike witches... all of them.... I want the Chie in a cardboard box too!! Sugoi!!! I wish we had events just for figures in the UK...but that'll almost never happy I'm sure. I'll get to a figure event in Japan one day though!! I know it!!

Other figures I want... that Haruka... from the illustration... hair looks a tad off... and the face looks a bit weird... but you can't tell much far off. Maybe its better close up. AND the 2nd Silfa figure, first ones eyes are too big... 2nd one is doing the pose from a very cute cg from the game.

The lion Saber and Shrine maiden Kanu are so awesome. We don't have any events that are specifically for figures that I know of around here.

LOL at Fujioka (aka Chiaki's Bear). I would love to see some Minami sisters figures soon. Want to get the Tomoyo figure as well.

I like the Strike Witches figures, unfortunately there's just something about the faces which nags at me. I loved the little figures in the boxes ^^ and the numerous weapons would be ideal for Mikuru. I'm suprised Danny didn't buy them!

There were so many amazing figures that I saw and wanted, but realized I could not afford.

I think it would be wonderful to have an event like this in my area, but it would never happen because of the general lack of interest and the prudes that wonder object to the NSFW figures.

love most of the figures and to answer your question on load time i had networkmonitor running and got the entire site visable in 1.47 seconds but i have a glass internet connection of 40Mb/s xD

The picture loading goes very fast. I scrolled down after I read it, and none were loading any more. No problems here.

There seem to be more and more mecha girls. Even an Eva with an actual human face under the mask.

And just WHEN are they going to release decent Minami-ke figures?? It's just the bear now...

The Akari one looks pretty nice, though not as great as Good Smile Company/Max factory's Alicia figure. Hope they make it into a PVC figure still or that release another great Akari figure.

Great coverage, pics loaded fine for me :) Highlight for me is Daiki's PVC of diskvision's EVE (not pictured here but I saw her over at akibahobby), always wished she was covered up for general display and Daiki modified the kit just so.

That Tomoyo figure really is smoking hot. Too bad I don't have the dedication nor the talent to actually make a kit turn out like that.
