Such dedication, I'm impressed! Moreover, he must have a great job, if he can afford all of this xD I wish I could get my paws on some of those figures!

And say, is that a Hidamari Sketch artbook I see? The man has good taste!

That's one impressive room. The pull-out bookshelves are really neat, and the cabinets for the figures are good as well (if a bit overcrowded). The room itself is almost as nice as the contents - the simple colours and furniture look good. The figure and mech collection is amazing.

I have to say that I'm impressed with the lack of clutter even though he has a great deal of figures. What works so well for him is the display cases and the pull out wall storage units and the bunk bed. The only thing I don't like at all is the power cords running across the floor which creates a trip hazard and it just looks sloppy like pearls on swine.

I was trying to do a rough count on estimate and guessing only of the figurines just on top of the big glass shelf and shelf next to it in the first picture. I'd say there were 375 left over figurines up there, ones that have no place to go now. That is an amazing amount of figurines for just one person.

holy crap it seems so wrong that I'm more amazed at the nice bookshelf!! (ok, lots of hidden space for the 'fun' reads and the manga sets I have ;)

is the drawer/book shelving installed or you got it somewhere?

and wow, the gundam collection is amazing :)

Decent simple interior style. The large amount of figures in the display cases is making it somewhat busy. Kind off beats the simplistic style. I guess that is a problem when you want to display everything at once. It must be fun to dust all the figures on top of the display cases... The bookcase system is great and like the computer space too.

That is a bit much for me. I do like some of the shelving, and may go that way since I do not want to ones with lights built in. But, beyond that, I cannot ever get myself that into figurines and the like. XP

Besides, at my rate of collecting, I might also have to limit what I do collect... Which also may mean no more Figmas as well. 3: Not sure if that will be final or not, though.

I think it should be important to say though, that everyone should remember that it's not about the amount of figures, electronics, cleanliness, or amount of clutter that makes it a true Otaku Habitat. It's about the spirit of the Otaku embodied like a physical representation of each of our personal spirits! Don't ever say you'd trade yours for his, because even if you have nothing: as long as The Otaku spirit is embodied in your room or house it's something to be proud of!

I always wonder is it nice to have few big cabinets to display our toys? Or have a small one and periodically change the toys on display? If we just keep on adding new cabinets for our new toys, most of the time those old toys in old cabinets will be neglected and never play back.

My house don't have a lot of space and I only have one small cabinet to display my toys. I always change the toys on display after a while and get to play with that toy. I felt it's a bit wasted to let a good toy put on display and get ignored
