Tokyo Rock Trooper title=

Well its been nearly four months since we filmed this video ^^;
The main reason that it took so long was because every time I sat down to edit it, it was taking ages to get the hand movements in sync with the music - maybe my iPod version was out of sync or something.

Higher resolution (and worth it) at jp.youtube.com/watch?v=vy_5polxvRs - click on the "view this in high res" link at the bottom of the video.

Thanks to Hector for the camera work, Japan Probe for transport, Akihabara News for the loan of camera equipment, Puffy for the most awesome "Way of the exploding fist" C64 remix, Kouta-san for the loan of the guitar which I don't even know how to hold and George Lucas for teaching us the meaning of life.

Uploading these original resolution clips somewhere is still on my to-do list - hope to get to it soon.

All I need now is a EOS 5D Mark 2 - has functionality to take HD video clips - obviously with the lens of your choice.

Up until now, the most popular Trooper vids have been...
Akiba Dance Trooper.
Shibuya Dance Trooper.
Caramell Dance Trooper.
Rick Trooper.
Which has been your fave so far?

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

Just read the part about uploading these in higher resolution. That'd definitely be cool, as many of the backdrops in these videos look like they'd be really nice in higher-than-youtube quality.

This is slick work Danny! This video was well worth the wait. I like that beginning and the ending is really great.

Shibuya Dance Trooper is still my top favorite. It just has a slightly better feel. ^^ I think it has to do with the night time shooting, various locations, and passerby interacting with you or about you.

Without a doubt Tokyo Rock Trooper comes in a very close second. Your selection of music was great and like I said I like the feel of the ending. After all it isn't Tokyo Trooper without the views and feel of Tokyo.

Thanks as always Danny... Oh, all I need is a 5D Mark 2 as well. ^^; ^o^

I liked Akiba dance trooper the best... something about the switch to rock music I didn't like about this video. Thought the C64 work was excellent. In Akiba you had everyone dancing with you but everyone seemed almost afraid to approach you in this one. lol

Yup. You should move your hand towards the upper part of the neck of the guitar too, as the frets where you place your hand will actually produce really high pitched chords. So it seems a bit fake ^^
