Based on an illustration by Huke - "Black Rock Shooter" has been given the PVC treatment by GSC. Tis 1/8 scale and will be out in August and retail for 9,800 yen. See more pics at GSC. Pretty stunning work.

Still, I absolutely LOVE the base - Black Rock Shooter is nice, but I'm not exactly a huge fan and I like her with her katana more. I like her, but not all that much. The dealbreaker for me (or rather dealmaker in this case) is really the base. Danny, if you don't mind, let GSC or Kotobukiya or just whoever that bases can be important! >< All too often we get a piece of ugly-a transparent plastic that ruins the entire display. I'm still trying to figure out how to replace that hideous neon orange base my Kotobukiya Kouhime came with.

Man, this piece looks simply stunning... the sense of wind flowing around her, the awesome weapon, the incredible detail... but what really catches my attention is that awesome translucent flame over her left eye... and it's removable! Yeah I preordered mine from HS. Even after shipping it'll still be $10-15 cheaper, and I trust Hobby Search. On average you save $10-20 off of the final cost with HS over kidnemo (and HLJ, but HLJ has disappointed me once too often, so I don't use them anymore) and their release dates seem to be a month or more off, blah. Additionally, I've bought exactly one thing from them because it was out of stock everywhere else, and it took them two weeks to ship my order that was in stock when I ordered it. -_-;
