Well you already know that washlets are very normal in Japan but its the first time I clapped eyes on one of these gadgets - a portable washlet!
So one of the reasons why I love my washlet is that I can wash away all that brown stuff after a dump rather than use tissue to spread it around my buttocks - very useful especially when I have had a hot dish the night before. But what about when I am on the move? Well I could get one of these I suppose - its got a strap so that I can hang it from my belt or my left earlobe.
The TOTO portable washlet takes standard batteries and can shoot out a stream of water for 23 seconds with one tank - enough to wash away the brown smelly stuff together with the undigested spinach and corn and costs a mere 10,000 yen (about 100 USD) .Above: Portable washlet - fed up of spreading poo around your bottom with tissue? Fed up with smelly bottom syndrome after a dump? Then just spray the damn thing!

WARNING: You are not supposed to stick it up yer bottom but should hold it at a distance to *spray* the target - otherwise you will end up with a brown smelly washlet nozzle (and you may inflict some permanent damage if you do).

Below: If you live in the USA - you are in luck! you too can spray clean your bottom on the move! This little compact beauty would look great on your desk at work or hanging from your arm while you are commuting to work. click the image below to see the portable washlet in action!Below: For those who don't know what a Japanese washlet is - its basically a toilet which shoots your bottom with a stream of water after a dump. Usually comes with a control panel and in the case of the Satis pictured below - comes with a built in MP3 player which automatically plays a tune from an SD card when you approach the toilet. Imagine - you can listen to the starwars theme as you take a dump.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.
