Hooray for shaky camcorders!!

But the trailer hasn't really done anything to convince me about the film. And it hasn't really added anything either, just a few more extended sections from those already seen in the superbowl trailer.

nevertheless, I'll still go and watch it come July, regardless of my preconceptions...

  For those that don't know, The Fallen was one of the 13 original transformers created by Primus, the "god" of all Transformers. However, he betrayed Primus and sided with Unicron, the destroyer of worlds, and Primus opposite. They both were stopped by Primus.

As much as I'm looking forward to this movie, I can't stand how Michael Bay cuts his shots. Hopefully this has changed, though the trailer doesn't garner confidence.

  well, Ravage (the robotic panther thing) "ROBOT" form was a panther. His G1 alt form was...well, and audio cassette. He was one of Soundwave's minions

Sometimes I wonder if, whoever made this movie, ever saw the original Transformer animated series. There goes one more fond childhood memory...
I don't question the quality of the movie, but...it's not really Transformers, it's just an action movie with giant robots.

I've never honestly been into transformers. I like Mecha, but they just don't classify as Mecha to me since no one is piloting them...and I've never really got into transformers, its just always seemed weird to me. But the movies do look really good, and it looks like they did a great job with the effects.

Honestly, I didn't think the first movie was all that great. It just deviated too much from the source material, and the transformers (especially Megatron) didn't look anything like they were supposed to.

I liked the more 'realisitc' look of the Transformers in the first movie, it would have been totally ridiculous to have them keep the exact same boxy form as in the original cartoon series.
Though I gather some people just don't accept or welcome any change at all. Me, I just try to enjoy it even if it differs from the source. ^^

The first movie was really awesome.

They made a really good job in filming old animation to life actions which I always dissapointed in other remakes of comic/old animations into movies, except Spiderman.
