Hmmmmm. Needa is not out yet but I seem to have her for some reason ^^; (whats Needa)
In other figure news today, Good Smile announce the pre-order release of the final two members which complete the Figma SOS Dan - Mikuru and Itsuki. Both retail for 2,500 yen and are out this June. Itsuki comes with a board for folks wanting to re-enact the Haruhi dance.
Love all three faces of Mikuru so think I'm going to need three of her ^^;
The only figures I have two if the same are GFF Guncannon and the Nendoroid Puchi. Do you have more than two of the same figure in your collection?
All images via Hobby Stock and if you are looking to pre-order any of these two, have a lookie at one of dannychoo.com's partners.

Love how they actually made Haruhi to grope Mikuru's eyes there but her facial expression doesn't suit it...she should be grinning.

needa is in my pre-order list, hope got enough stock allocation for my country. there is only two type of PVC figurines that I'll buy double. the limited edition or rare ones and the cast-offable ones, like the 1/6 koyori from sengoku cannon that i have

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/24737696@N04/2353159722/in/set-72157604206320055/

Some I've even bought 3 units. for gundam, i will buy more than one if the price goes down below market price. good use for spare parts or for modding purpose. i'm not interested in figmas as the joints are too obvious, the only figma that i've pre-ordered so far is the saber armour version.

Aw damn Danny... You lucky guy getting away with Needa like that. Question is though: are you gonna keep her or set her free?

To be honest I'm not into the poseable figures, but I am impressed how versatile they are. Especially with Haruhi groping

Hehe - wierd - my first post in the news items was about this! I dont usually like poseable figures, but the likeness is so good, and i love the 'waah' face so much, i just couldnt resist!
How big are figmas? Are they about as big as the fraulein figures?

As for more than one of the same one, i have the Shunya yamashita sculpted Kasumi Sega prize figures. Theyre not technically the same one - theres a white and a blue version, but i had to buy both in the set.

Needa looks like an awesome figure, but im trying to cut down on my shunya figures, and go for more stylised, anime esque ones like etna.

The Mikuru gropings will be epic.

I had doubts about Figma style figurines when I first saw them come into popularity. I didn't like the idea of the balljoints marring the way the figure looked but I'm seeing that the posability of the figurines can make it pretty damn cool.

I'm actually surprised, I really tought I wouldn't like Figma stuff at all, both surprised and pleased.

Already pre-ordered the Mikuru figma. It seems like most Japanese stores (Hobby Stock, AmiAmi, Hobby Search) are limited people to order just one per person. Mikuru is the only figma figure I ordered from the SOS Dan. The only other figma I have is the saber one which I highly recommended people to get it!!! Just don't feel like to get the others! Compared to the other SOS Dan's figmas, Mikuru has almost no extra accessories came with it. I mean they give you a book and eyeglasses in Yuki's figma or the megaphone and armband in Haruhi's figma and etc. I guess Mikuru's cute face make up more than that! At least this is what I think! Anyone agree?

LOL nice... actually comes close to a figure I dream they'd do: That scene were Haruhi bites Mikuru's ear.

I have only one repeated character among my figures... and guess who?

    Suzumiya Haruhi. :P

But if I had easier access to figures, I'd probably have more than one version from Shana, Ichigo Mashimaro girls, Nagato Yuki, and some others...

Not much to say about the figure, but hey Danny... I always see you in black/gray suits... no other color? :D:D (No hard feeling :D It does not mean that you do not look good in black/gray :p)

nice! i would buy two of the same if and only if they're different poses or by different manufacturers and main point is they should be interesting - like some figures have very lovely facial expressions.

    Ahh... Needa looks good.
I still wish there someone would do a review of the KOS-MOS Ver.4 Figure from Alter. Nobody seems to care about that figure, but it's sold out in quite a few shops now! The only site with halfway decent pictures seems to be Hobby Search 1999...
I have never bought a figure before and I'm not sure if I may be disappointed by it.

    I do, sort of.

Well, you know how trading figures have variation figures? I have a few of those.

Besides, according to Izumi Konata, it's better to have duplicates so you can keep one for collection, one for display, and one more just for the hell of it XD.

.....I didnt go that far, but it's a good idea lol.

I have multiples of a lot of my favorite characters and a few outright doubles (the problem of having a spouse who is also into anime).

I love the Mikuru figma, I know I will preorder her. I am undecided about the other one.

i'm still not a big fan of the figmas, i don't like joints and for the price i don't like how small they are. even still i'm planning on picking up the Hatsune Miku Figma when she is released...

Of all the Haruhi figmas Mikuru's faces seem the best to me. Her lovely faces are what finally made me pre-order the whole set. Something about this figma is just ridiculously cute. I don't own any doubles of any figures currently, but I kind of want a 2nd Konata figma so I can have something on my desk at work.
