Looks like the one in one of the fighting scenes in Ga-Rei Zero but heck, is this even real? It looks very awesome.

That place is real, but I don't know if it uses the real layout of the place for the fight scene.

nice, kind of reminds me of the old batman movie.

Japan has cleaner technology for factories? I don't see any steam or smoke. Around here clouds are likely billowing out of factories at all hours of night and day.

Not completely. For example, Nintendo is considered a very not eco-friendly company (remember that it manufactures tons of stuff)

It's easy to see where graphic designers in anime and games get their ideas for industrial settings when looking at these pictures. Still, I wouldn't want to have to live anywhere near one of these places with all of the pollution many factories pump into the air. I've had to pass through or make day trips to industrial towns in Japan in the past, and the air in those places was kinda nasty. XD

There's a few factories in Hamilton, Ontario that look a bit like this, only much older and rustier and with more smoke. Me and my friend used to sneak into abandoned factories when we were in high school, but they always looked more like warehouses and were never quite this interesting.
what is the name of the filter in photoshop to get this result ?
and which physical filter should we use on the lens?
thanks

Isn't that a bunch of electricity for outlighting? I thought Japan was more energy-efficient. Or it is explicity necessary to the night-working factories?
