Out in the next two days in Japan - Street Fighter iV. The clip below reminds me to go get a copy.
Remember being so excited back in 1991 about the arcade version of Street Fighter II which I spent quite a few 10 pences on. Found the game most interesting because I think it was the first arcade game where I could choose a cute girl character - Chun Li.
Can use most of the other characters and know most of the moves but am best at using Ryu/Ken (after Chun Li) and worst at Zangief - no way was I pulling off those full joystick turns with combo buttons. Which character can you control with ninja skill and which do you control like a camel with its head up its bottom?

Original text from Gorgo below.

So it's finally the time, almost. Two weeks more and we'll be able to see all the street fighter character that we love in 3D. Personally i'm a big 2d fan for this series but i admit the gameplay looks massive.

P.s i love the main song of the intro, anyone can help me to get it somewhere?
Bye

    Got a chance to play the game last year at a game convention and I actually was pretty impressed by it. However, KOF XI looks like it will be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

        Agreed.
        Plus, this one should be named Street Fighter EX IV, since it's following the 3D style path.
        I'm still eager to play this baby :)

        Heigen, remember the game is pretty old...

        The mechanics are pretty basic for todays standards, but SF II is the root of ALL 2D Fighting games ~Period.

    Another fan here!

    I'm counting the days for the release of this awesome game, at last, the master of all the fighting games would have a great sequel and it has everything, scenarios, effects, music, new and classic characters including my favorites Chun-Li and Rose.... I can't wait to have it in my hands.
    I also pre-ordered the special edition for the xbox 360.

    The other one is RE5 that I've also pre-ordered. Greetings.

          Ditto on the high res of cammy - she is of the hot one.

          Cammy was my favorite character back when super street fighter 2 turbo came out, although i was never as good with her as i was with ryu/ken, i'd like to think i was deadly with them, but its been a while so i cant remember too much.

          i also liked feilong, he was on "faiyah"!!!

      I just can't stand the mechanic of not being able to shoot while moving in RE5 (played the demo). Especially against the faster zombies in this one. I'm definitely putting Killzone 2 above RE5 on my pre-order list.

      Your point is right but I think than this isn't a matter of quantity but quality this time, at first, there were only 16 characters (the twelve originals from SF2 and 4 news) plus the final boss, but after some time Capcom continued revealing more characters like Sakura, Feilong, Dan, Akuma, Gouken, Cammy, Gen and Rose so far, what ultimately looks like to me a fair good quantity of characters.
      To have an immense quantity of characters means that the game will be better.

      And it's true that many people won't be please with this new SF and they're in all their right, but the point is that this SF4 is gonna rock and between have it or not, it's so much better to have it.

    I'm skipping this one. Mostly because it feels more like a spin-off than a sequel. Plus, I don't like the change of animation style as well as the fact that the gameplay appeared to be a bit sluggish when I checked out the arcade version.

    So I might also skip this one and wait for King of Fighters XII, even though it will not have Mai Shiranui in it. ^^;;

    OH YES I can't wait for the PC version to hit the stores. It won't be a bad port by the looks of it since the arcade version of SFIV is running on a windows PC (windows XP), no annoying bugs or waiting for patches.

    I'm hoping that they fixed a lot of the things that were wrong with the early version... >.< I was actually hoping it'd be more like SFIII, but I guess that was just too hard of a game to pick up and play they thought. :/

    I'm not getting Street Fighter 4 for console, i don't have a PS3 or XBox 360. Though Japan Arcade got the arcade version yesterday. Too bad i need to do a lot of training on Street Fighter 4. I've been playing a lot less 2D fighters since concentrating on Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3 DX. And this upcoming weekend i plan to start playing Initial D 4 as well. Also, i need training for BlazBlue Calamity Trigger. Street Fighter 4 just makes my practicing a lot more interesting. :D

    I remember playing the SF2 when I was in middle school, I spent like $15 on first day it came out. I sucked at first(who wouldn't ^^;) but game was so awesome that I kept playing. I eventually became the best player at my school and it was funny when people knew you for how good you are at playing SF2, it was like a status symbol ^^;

    I can play all the characters and I guess I'm best at playing Ryu/Ken/Guile and then the rest. I can't wait to play SF4, I don't have PS3/Xbox360 but the day the game comes out, I'm gonna head to my friend's house who's gonna get the game and just play there :D

    At my best with Ryuu. If I'm Ken, I am tricky with him. I picked Chun Li if I just wanted to have fun. (No Kikoken in the beginning.)

    Tried this game in arcades and highly regret on doing so. It was not worth the delay. Horrible list of new characters and horrible visuals killed it for me. Should have stayed 2D and the new characters don't interest me. The console port ones don't do much for me either. (Yes, I know Sakura's there, but what kills it for me is that she's not in the P.E. outfit.)

    While I'm at it, I do not like "KoF XII" at all either. Why? The roster. A six-year old kid make a better roster than this! Dump characters like Athena, Kensou, Big Bear, and Joe and add characters like K', King and Mary.

    Ryu and Zangief where my players when SF started, but I've gone in more of favor of the Sumo E.Honda over the years after his moves have new grabs and revamps. Though before way back SFII era it took me a YEAR just to learn the piledriver. Ryu was my prime choice after learning Iam more of down, down forward, forward or hadouken type of guy rather than a whole 360 degree one. So that's it Ryu is my main guy. As for the girl it's Sakura. :p

    I loved the series, but now it feels all the same. I just recently played the SF2 HD remix or something, released on psn and live arcade, and while it was great for the nostalgia, I can't see myself playing too often. I may just wait for a price drop.

    Capcom needs to reacquire the license for Marvel so they can have a Marvel vs Capcom 3!!! I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
