Puchi review of Kaori Kanzaki from Toaru Majutsu no Index.
Not exactly sure when this 1/8 scale figure is due out - not seen any reviews yet and only got this sample from Kotobukiya today. The product detail page says sometime this month and will retail for 7,140 yen.

Paint work and sculpt is spot on and the hair is not too shiny. Belt is removable as well as sword. Only caught the first few episodes of Toaru and dropped it so don't know why Kaori has a leg missing from her jeans - interesting design though ^^;

Saw lots of folks blog about this figure release back when pre-order info went up - anybody order her?

This was just the first of another mountain of SAFS to arrive this week - snowed in!

  That`s true, I always have the same problem with many figures, their faces don`t look like the originals, the character`s personality is lost, but now there are a lot of figures makers doing a great job.

Danny not watching toaru? I find it quite good, ignoring the fact that I dislike main characters that talk JUSTICE and win a fight somehow.

I mean, even Ueki had some strategy to defeat the opponents..

Ive preordered her as soon as ive seen the prototype shots.
I enjoy Index alot.Sure it has lots of logic holes,a character you could call Emiya Shirou but its damn entertaining.Hope to see mine soon :D

  Despite I like this figure I agree with your words, I mean her face is a little odd, so, I firmly believe that Alter would do a better job with this character and that won't be a surprise because they're doing great figures since always =^_^=.

This figure is on my "waiting list" because I really like the character and the animation too and talking about this Kotobukiya's work, I can say that the result was excellent because the figure looks great, the face, the hair, the body, everything.

I'm gonna get this soon, it's just a matter of time.

Just got her myself yesterday, would have gotten her earlier but due to Chinese New Year holidays shipping was kind of delay. Her face seems a bit sharper than the anime though and her jean is not torn anymore

I'm getting the domesticated release for this figure.

I'm enjoying the anime. It isn't that great by any stretch, but it is still enjoyable to me. However, there are a few episodes that are so pointless, but then again, most anime have fillers.

Still have no idea why her pant leg is missing after 16 episodes. She's barely in the show! I'm kinda confused on what's happening in the show at times, but the quality is great and I watch it for the action. Pretty cool. Imagine Breaker is a pretty cool power methinks.

I received her last week. As a previous member mentioned gals with swords are a must to collect. Her pose and base are excellent, a bit more vibrancy and detail with colour on her jeans and belt would have helped overall ( The lighting for the photos above adds a red glow, the figure's colours are much more subtle) I agree the hair is excellent,very dynamic.Any sexy anime gal that can wear a T shirt like that is always going to be much loved.

Ordered her as she was announced ^^ Her face looks bit different then anime but still nice and rest is super.
However have to wait till her shipping Senhime (Alter) partner is out in February (hope its soon). If there is a figure I cant wait for its Senhime ^^
