Teaser trailer for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen looks awesome!

After I watched it, I was thinking man, when is it coming out? Probably 2010 at the earliest... but then I saw the date and it's 6.26.09!! Wow, that was a quick turnaround since the last movie!!

I thought I would clear it with you guys since I've made a news item about this movie. Megatron will not be on this movie till the end of it so there is another sequel to transformers 2. Constructicons will be in this movie making Devastator. The main Evil Deceptacon is called the Fallen One.

The mysterious face on the poster has provoked much debate, but now two sources - our own TFW TF2 Insider and 2005 Boards Member starscreamjason - both confirm that the shadowy face seen on the poster is in fact The Fallen himself!

starscreamjason goes on to report on a fact sheet that came with the Movie poster. Our insider was unable to comment on whether these rumors are accurate or not.

* The Fallen is one of the first Transformers to have come to Earth.

* He came to Earth to conquer and enslave, and initially was revered as a god, but was later deposed and imprisoned beneath a pyramid.

* He's still asleep under the pyramid, awaiting the time to awaken and take his revenge!

Megatron is likely to come back in his new form at the end of 2nd Transformers movie. His form I am not sure. It may be his Armarda Tank form or he will be back as Galvatron with Unicron and the 3rd movie most likely being about Galvatron and Unicron coming to destro the earth.

Revenge of the Fallen

The character appears in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Director Michael Bay described him as "apocalyptic". An endoskeletal robot with large tentacles, which is behind the wall painting, was hinted at being the Fallen. The body was shown on set, and its eyes are on the packaging[1]

Although the Fallen's origins are only suggested in his comic book appearance, they would be fully explained in Dorling Kindersley's Transformers: The Ultimate Guide. One of the original thirteen Transformers created by Primus, the robot who would become the Fallen betrayed his creator by siding with Primus's dark twin, the malevolent planet-eater, Unicron. In the final battle between Primus and Unicron, the Fallen fell victim to the same fate as his master, sucked through a black hole into another dimension. However, while Unicron emerged into another universe, the Fallen was not so fortunate, finding himself trapped in the "underspace" between dimensions.

The Fallen made his only appearance in the second volume of Transformers: The War Within - the Dark Ages. Around 6.5 million years ago, a test of the experimental "space bridge" matter-transport system on Cybertron liberated the Fallen from his prison, and he materialized on Cybertron, where he quickly recruited the Chaos Trinity, three mystically-inclined Decepticons - Bludgeon, Mindwipe and Bugly - into his employ. Abducting Transformers that he identified as possessing "genetic potential" within their sparks - Grimlock, Blitzwing, Jetfire and Hot Spot - the Fallen planned to use their energies to awaken Primus from his self-imposed slumber, thereby alerting Unicron to his location, allowing the world-eater to renew hostilities with his old enemy. An attack from combined Autobot and Decepticon forces led by Shockwave and Prowl disrupted his plans, and Primus himself reached out and promptly destroyed the Fallen.

SNAKE EYES!! Sweet! I'm 12 years old again ^_^ Can't remember where my GI Joe action figures went but I do remember the good times and fun playing with them when I was a little kid.
Transformers.... hmmmmm.... I wish there would be more shots of the machines standing still instead of all those blurry, fast paced action stuff.

didn't really care for the first one much. Only the fight on the american highway with optumus prime and (I think)bonecrusher was memorable, but I'll probably watch this sequel.

but the film I really want to watch is the Watchmen. It'll suck but I still want to watch it.

GI Joe trailer looks awesome. I do hope Transformers 2 will have more action than the first one though.

Ravage,Devestator and what looks like Soundwave transforming into a car. This might actually be the Transformers movie I hoped the first one would be. G.I.Joe does not look promising thou.

oooooh super cool! maybe I will save my megaton helmet back from Halloween to take to the theater with me for this one. I'm hoping that this one will have a few more cool robot scenes, and no part where they try to hide outside the kids house.

as for the joe trailer, it looks pretty cool, but where are the lazers, the hundreds of lazers being shot by both sides??? that was like the main point of the show!
And I heard that they are changing how cobra looks, I hope not cause cobra in blue helmet with silver mask is how I remember him.

am i the only one that didn't like the transformers trailer? it looks horrible. i understand its a blockbuster flick which i can let go, but it seems to have the same issues as the first movie. the robots still look like a mess! the designs still don't register well and the robots look like massive collages of metal moving around. i intend to see the movie because i too am a transformer fan but the fact that the robotic main cast look horrible is something i'm just going to have to stomach.

Wait...wasn't devastator a tank in the first film? I could have sworn the decepticons called the tank Devastator in the movie. O_O

I never followed the Transformer as a child and I was none too impressed with the first film with the exception of Megan Fox--so, if I do go see the sequel it will be because of her sexiness

BTW, I think GI Joe will be an utter failure. Won't repeat everything here what I already posted in detail on my blog, but bottom line: weak subject material = weak film. I'm already waiting to cringe when the first Joe yells "G-Iii-Joe!" The criticism has nothing to do with the fact that Dr. Who will make an excellent Destro sans metal face, Sienna Miller with padding for her "eyes" make a sexy Baroness and Ray Park will do his fanboy delighting work as Snake Eyes.

I'll still go see this movie because I'll go to just about any sci-fi, fantasy film just because I love the genre.

I find the Transformers to be visually confusing, the effects are like watching an explosion in reverse with all these bits and pieces flowing around, its overwhelming and more than the eye can follow sometimes. To much visual overload like that simply gives me a headache.

OTOH, the GI Joe movie looks cool in the way that all trailers make movies look cool.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. As I did with the first movie, I'm not reading any spoilers/story/character details or watching any "unofficial" clips. Problem is as the release date gets closer - the harder it gets to avoid spoliers >_<

I think not spoiling myself on the first movie is whaat made it so enjoyable for me. That, and hearing Peter Cullen's voice narration at the start ^_^
