its common for lifelike drawings of wanted folks to be issued but it looks like Kanagawa police decided to use the lifelike properties of the Mii making tool to create a "this man is wanted" image. This man is wanted for a hit and run - if you see him please report him to Kanagawa police immediately.

    I've seen on TV before that police use some kind of Mii-concept for sketching faces... a set of foreheads, eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth etc. that can be swapped until the witness confirms the portrait....
    But yeah, using a Mii simplifies the facial features way too much!
