    And - okay, I realize it's not the point. But still, watching these clips of action school girl movies makes me wince. It's so painfully obvious that the girls were chosen for looks first and everything else second. You get girls flinching and reeling before they get hit, and you get girls who are knocked to the ground and take 4 seconds to get up. (But for some reason their deadly opponents stand less than a metre away and just stare. Maybe they're interesting in yuri and are staring at her pantsu.)

      The same thought crossed my mind, but honestly, if they were all terribly ugly, and still acted bad, with poor choreography, and low budgets, would it be any better?

      But the same idea applies to commercials, movies, anime, manga, video games, and well everything.
