If you are looking for some portable speakers to go with your iPod then Sankaku has just the thing for you...

The description page says...

speakers, fiberglas mannequin, 1/8 stereo jack, power/volume knob, hand-built solid-state stereo amplifier
36" x18" x12"
2008

As part of my object remix series, this stereo forces the music source into the center of attention and creates a radically new user interface.

Perfect for your daily commute.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

If the oppai are the speakers and the vagumklclal is for the iPod connection... then what plugs in the backdoor? O_o

Also, it needs limbs, a head and robotic insides so it can move, speak and think of its own. Chobits anyone? XD

This was posted on the American/UK blog site Boing Boing a few days ago, where it created a firestorm. At least half the posts blasted it as sexist and demeaning. I find the sculpture uninteresting enough not to get really fired up about it, but those interested might want to look at the comments. I think they give an interesting snapshot of a rapidly shifting culture.
