Gift Saber Review

The body looks great, I like the detail- but the head/face just... I dunno there's something I don't like about it. ^^; Call me picky. XD

I have a Saber figure, only just recently bought (off of a member on here).
I will be getting the figma version when the order processes and the Lily version when it becomes available.
I don't like the faces on the Gift version but the clothes are just stunning.

I think I have 6 Saber figures + Saber Lion that's supposed to have arrived by now.

With empty wallet right now I'm passing this one for Lily version.

i was afraid about the face as well since this figure aren't cheap. :(
the armour, dress look very good though but the face...

I own two Saber figures and one more will be here later this year ^^. Yes I don't like the faces of this figures.

I didn't mention too much about the faces when I wrote my piece on it, but I do personally feel the faces might've been a problem on this figure, as perhaps the attention was split between the two instead of perfecting one...

Still, the faces do look acceptable, and the rest of the figure looks fantastic to me.

Wow that's a nice one, love the detail of the clothes and the armor but like everyone else. There is something about the faces that dont seem right. The second picture doesnt even look like her. That first is okay but still doesn't work. Oh and I only have 1 Figma Saber. I am will be getting the Figma Lili as soon as its out and saber lion as well.

I have one Saber figure. Got her recently for 40 bucks total (after tax, shipping and everything else in between), which I think is pretty good. It's a really nice figure. =]

I pretty much agree with Danny. Neither of these faces are attractive though every else is amazing. will wait for my saber lily from GSC, that will be my first huge spending on a figure

Sadly I don't own any Saber figures... It would feel weird getting a Saber figure without watching Fate/Stay Night first. I recently finished it though so I wouldn't feel as bad but now the only problem is that I only want the Lily Saber. If only they mass produced the figma of Lily Saber...

Only 2 Saber figures, the Alter swimsuit ver. and the Kotobukiya one. And the figma if that counts.

I can live with the first face but the second is just....way off..

This figure is really pretty, the detail on the clothes and armour, very nice, especially the lace on the skirt.

I completely see what you mean about the faces, even before I scrolled down to read, I knew that'd be the 'but' factor lol. The anime face just looks, not Saber... and the more human face... well thats just plain wrong. Looked nicer in the prerelease shots.

When the Freeing Nagi is released, please show us what she looks like! I'm a tad worried how she'll turn out...

I own 3 Saber Figures, 1 Figma Saber, Figma Saber Lily and Nendoroid Saber Lion. Gonna pass this up and hope someday Max Factory made a Figma Saber Alter.

The sculpt of the body looks good, but the face is meh...I only own the Alter swimsuit saber...

I only have Revoltech Saber and Saber Alter. Can't wait for GSC Saber Lily.

Anyway, her armor reminds me of Lenneth Valkyrie.

I don't mind the faces actually... maybe it's just me. I may have a different opinion once I get mine, but I would still think this would be one of the best Saber figures out there.

Indeed, the face is definitely not right on this one.

The 1st face sorta looks right don't know what the 2nd one is from. The Revoltech Saber action figure I have sorta looks right too but not exact either. Guess its pretty hard for them to capture some characters likeness. I wish I had all those bikini figurines for Fate Stay Night but something else always used the money at the time.

I have quite a few Saber figures, and this one should be arriving soon. I liked a lot of things about it from the images I saw, but the faces do appear a bit off for Saber. But I still wanted it for my Saber collection...lol ^^;

But I do think that GSC Lily Saber will become my top pick Saber figure, it certainly looks great. If I had to put Gift Saber in a spot, it would currently be my third favorite in my collection...4th come June =D

I own a F/HA Saber from GSC... I like it very much because she's wearing a normal dress instead of her battle gear. I'm not much of a fan of her usual battlegear, so the Saber Lily comes as a delight too.

Really want the saber lily that is coming out june or so, but it's so expensive.

It's kinda hard not to own a Saber figure if you like figures. (I didn't say mechs because many people, that I know anyways, consider those totally different.)

Revoltech Saber Alter. Now if only Figma would make one too...

I have two Saber figures so far. The first one I got was the Saber figure from the Mon-Sieur Bome collection from my brother as a gift when he went overseas, and the second one (my current favourite) is the Fate/Zero Saber by Max Factory along with Kiritsugu Emiya.

The faces seem slightly different to the protos as well, I think.

Haven't owned any Saber figures/figma. Not sure why though.

The face is so ugly it ruins the whole figure. It's too bad since the armor and clothing looked really good too.

Idk why people complain about the face. Its just the eyes being too big and angry looking thats all. Apart from the eyes, the overall detail that went into the clothes and blade is pretty spiffy.

The clothing and armor look great. The face and hair just look different. The face is just so not saber. The hair looks unfinished and not detailed enough when compared to the body or lily saber.

I agree--the clothing detail is amazing, but the faces and hair are kind of off. I've been tempted to get the resin kit version from Hobby Fan so I can make my own face and hair but keep the body and clothes. ^^;

I have pre-ordered one but haven't arrived yet. I know the face looks a bit weird but I think its still acceptable for me cos other then that the rest looks great.

Own 3 Sabers right now. Preordered Saber Lily as soon as it became available on HLJ (on my request per e-mail, I think).

I just have a Figma Saber so far. I'd like to get more, though.

The first face is okay, even if it isn't particularly anime-accurate. The second is a bit off, though. I might pick this up at some point, when I have enough money - even if the faces aren't perfect, the details on the clothing are fantastic, and it's worth getting just for that. I like the Saber Lily as well, but it's just too far out of my price range at the moment.

Jup, all is great except the face. I have the leisure dress ver. from Koto and I guess that'l le my only Saber figure for a while seeing as the Lily ver. is so expensive T-T

i have the figma version and i think thats the best one out so far. waiting for the saber lily avalon figure though. just preordered it. that would be the best figure once it comes out imo

I have a resin Saber/Zero and Saber Figma. I agree with Danny, this Gift Saber - the face is different... No thanks I don't want this for sure...

The overall is great and the details is accurate but for the head I will have to say 'NOT GOOD'. Change the head!

I was thinking of getting this before but now I'm probably going to get the GSC Lily version instead.There's just something about the head and the face that makes me skip out on this one. ^^'

Don't own a Saber Fig but the GSC 1/7 Lily will prolly be my first and only one Saber in my collection :D

I have a lot of Sabers too, but most of them from 2 or 3 years ago when her figures started appearing on the market ^_^ Didn't get the latest releases due to budgetary constraints.

My favourite still the Alter's Swimsuit version ^o^ and the 1/6 maid version.

The first face looks fine, don't like the second though. But in overall a fine figure IMHO.

Ive just got the Payment Request from HLJ and gonna pay asap.Im not too happy with her two faces either but i really,really like her body.Id get Lily Saber aswell if i had the cash ready.

Sadly I don't own a Saber yet, was going to get a Fraulein Revoltech version, but it was too pricey at my store 80$ ...T_T

Not sure what people don't like about the first face. I think it looks good (although could be better) the detail on the armor and everything else make this figure worth it imo. This will be my first Saber. I've done well to avoid buying the others. Unfortunately I can't resist Saber Lily so unless more awesome Saber figs come out I'll just have those two.

I actually like the face- I'm worried about the blandness of the color for the skin and hair.

But I really really love the face.

Was in my "To get list" very detailed armor indeed. The face did turn me away from it and also my wallet didn't agree as well. ^_^

Managed to order Saber Lily for about USD 110 from a local shop. Inclusive of shipping =)

Umm, say I have about 6 Saber PVC figures, 1 E2046 Gathering and Saber Lily figma currently. I have the Gift version on preorder and I always knew the face was kinda off. At first I was turned off by the so called "realistic" face but later I think I saw the "anime" face and was like, ok, this is not so bad, may be it would look like Hyper Fate from Enter Brain (what can I say, I am a sucker for saber figure), I am starting to regret the decision to preorder it because Saber Lily will surely blow it out of the water. Somehow, I doubt this would even match up to Hyper Fate... the "flowing dress" of the Gift version doesn't seem to compare to Saber Lily either.

Why do I only notice now that the second head is anime-style and doesn't even look that bad?
