Congrats to all gladiators who answered "Owakudani" [大湧谷] in the first giveaway round to win a lovely Mabinogi Nao by Orchid Seed.
The clue was "Niwatori" which means "Chicken" in Japanese - referring to the black eggs that extend your life by a few years when eaten. Owakudani is famous for the black eggs which mysteriously appear in the valley.
Folks who answered "Milky Way", "Earth", "Japan" or "Hakone" were not specific enough and do not qualify.
Folks who answered "Owakudani" without the kanji *do* qualify.

Surviving gladiators go on to the next round to answer the next question - "where is Kagami"?

So many places.... Kamakura....Enoshima... OMG searched so many pages.... only beaches I can find are those....

Gah..... I'm gonna guess Inamuragasaki Beach, in the Kanagawa Prefecture. 稲村ケ崎 (Kanagawa= 神奈川) Cos there are so many beaches you could have been at.... and this one is near other ones you've been too...lol

The only articles i can find with the seaside are Ishigaki Jima, Kamakura, Enoshima and Okinawa. i think its safe to say it's NOT somewhere in lake Ashi due to large container ships in background..................

    Also spotted in the photo are container ships and smog in the far far background
    Ishigaki Jima and Okinawa Jima just don't seem to have those 2 attributes
    
    my second guess would be somewhere in Chiba-Ken (facing towards Yokohama, in relation to ships and smog) or could even be somewhere in the southern part of Odawara-chi

      I didn't notice the ships in the back. doh. I was searching beaches that had similar trees, sand and sky. I got the translations but couldn't link them to anything. Also found out Kagami means mirror, and boku had another meaning; predict, or something like that. Might have been a bad translator though :p.
      I found out about Kagami mochi on my google travels. That didn't lead anywhere though.

This is quite tricky.

I bet it's the west side of Okinawa Island. The beach must be Manza beach because it's the most popular beach in Okinawa where famous cliff made of coral reef. It needs about one and a half hours to drive from Naha city.

I'm going to say Sagami Bay (相模湾) in Hakone in the Kanagawa Prefecture. There's a river that flows down to the bay, a direct reference to sosogu which translates to pour into or to irrigate. Uta translates to song and boku no Kagami translates to Where's Kagami? (I hope this is right.)

Yuigahama beach (由比ヶ浜海岸) near Kamakura, a city in Kanagawa Prefecture (神奈川県, Kanagawa-ken)

pretty much what Kevin Nyugen said about Sagami Bay (相模湾, Sagami-wan) since i saw a pic of what he referred to and it seems pretty close to the hints.

but if it has to be very beach-specific, it's pretty much a toss up between the Yuigahama, Zaimokuza (highly possible actually) and what i can't see much of of Inamuragasaki beach (good luck Meimi!).

then there's Enoshima, Hayama and Zushi beaches! so in the end, i just went with the one above (Yuigama) which as the rest had never been mentioned before.

I'd usually follow the crowd when clueless, but you specifically mentioned not being able to go to Okinawa this winter sometime ago. You've only had Kagami since September, so there should be no way this is Okinawa.

Your hints are evil. "Boku no Kagami" seems obvious - too obvious. I originally thought you might've been referring to the "mirror" definition, and that might mean the DannyChoo cosplay someone did. But...that's in Malaysia. I don't think you went to Malaysia either.

  I been there just a month ago. The eggs aren't really anything special, just chicken eggs that have been hard-boiled in a sulfur hotspring. The wasabi icecream was more interesting (and delicious), plus it was REAL wasabi, not that fake horseradish crap that's been dyed green. The shops there all had real wasabi in different forms.

I am pretty sure that Kagami is at Yuigahama beach (由比ヶ浜海岸) Kamakura, Kanagawa.

The hints that I go by are mainly the "Boku no Kagami" as in thet that is your Kagami figma, but the again it might be some of your so famous cosplayers, so I hope I am righ ^_^

Its not Yugihama (sp?) beach in Kamakura nor Enoshima because its missing all the beer cans on the beach and crowds. Plus, I don't recall seeing palm trees.

I have to go with Sentosa Beach, in Singapore. Since it's near the Promax BDA Asia facility you were presenting at in Singapore. You could've been staying at one of the hotels on the beach too. A tip for any contenders left here. "Uta" song = sing, "sosogu" = to pour = a pour(?). Uta sosogu boku no kagami = singapore my kagami? It could be any other beach around the area (if any), but I don't know since I'm not from Singapore ^^ So I'm going with Sentosa Beach, Singapore.
