Just how many of the same figure is enough for you?
Got a few doubles of the same figma's but that's only because I received them that way ^^;
Used to buy two Gundam Fix Figuration sets many moons ago though.
Via Figure GK.

    For me I like to have two of some figures. Probably my fav. Figmas are a good example of wanting two.

    I think GFF is a little different since you could often make more than one version with two GFF's. I think that is why I only buy the Metal GFFs now.

    I only have one duplicate figure, and that was because of a Christmas present. It worked out in the end- I just kept it in the box, for safe keeping. As for other figures, I have one each. I figure if a Figma broke badly enough that I couldn't repair it I'd probably re-buy, however.

    As for model kits, I like having a couple- I can build and paint them up slightly differently, and try different things with them.

    No. This is way overkill. o_O I can't stand having two figures of the same character, let alone two copies of the same figure. It's such a waste of cash - I can think of so many better ways to put that money to use. Other figures, games, gadgets, savings...

    Why on earth would anyone spend money on more than one of the same figure? Actually I can think of only two reasons: one's that it's rare and you plan on selling it later and second is one for playing and displaying and the other is kept in the box forever.

    I used to buy doubles but times are too hard and these things cost to much to buy more than one nowadays. One of the more pricier doubles I've purchased was Daiki's Koyori.

    I only have one of each kind (and sometimes only one of each character) mostly because if I have too many everything looks cluttered and the figurine itself can't really shine. That's especially dangerous when you have too many, so it's always best to not rush into buying too many figures.

    I think that in a few Gashapon tiny tradeables I got the same ones. Was trying to get Kos-Mos from Xenosaga in bikini and failed. One or two of those also were not fully painted so I got even more of a rare item in a way. Socks were not painted and were brown on one. For Kos-Mos probably would collect 2 of each regular figurine but they are like $120 USA each always to get. /sigh

    I have a few different figurines of 1 character, does that count? Buying more than one just seems a bit wasteful to me, if you take care of your figurines (simply cleaning with a brush) you won't have to worry about replacing it at all. If some strange things do start appearing there are various PVC figurine-care liquids out there for emergency situations.
