Char Rhouseman title=

I'm glad to say that GoodSmile managed to keep the PVC release of Char Rhouseman looking exactly like the master sculpt that they let me play with back last August.

Many PVC releases look a bit different to the original master due to it going through factory processes as opposed to being sculpt and painted by hand.

Char Rhouseman title=

This is Char in her mid-way-battle-with-battle-damage-garment.

Char Rhouseman title=

This one for you in the wallpaper pool.

Char Rhouseman title=

Pretty much all of my figures are smiling or giving me an innocent look so its refreshing to have a "I'm going to whip your ass" expression.

Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=

Chars eyes have been described around the Japanese otaku blogsphere as "rockets" or "torpedoes."
I've asked the question maybe a year ago so I think I'll ask it again - what size eyes do you prefer?

Fauna's head fits pretty well on Char's bod.
Which reminds me - added a Fauna image to the wallpaper pool too.

Char Rhouseman title=

Pink hair, green undies and a sword - great combination.

Char Rhouseman title=

If you missed it, the Fauna figure review lives here.

Char Rhouseman title=

Airi's head also looks good on Char's bod.

Char Rhouseman title=

Maid, undies and sword - another great combination.
The Airi review lives here.

Char Rhouseman title=

Char continues to battle even when her clothes have been ripped off by the enemy.

Char Rhouseman title=

But now the enemy doesn't stand a chance as they are inevitably distracted by Char's secret weapons of mass destruction.

Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=

"Launch all missiles!"

Char Rhouseman title=

"Missiles launched Sir! Captain Sir!"

Char Rhouseman title=

"Give me a damage report!"

Char Rhouseman title=

"The enemy has been wiped out sir!"

Char Rhouseman title=

"Launch two more just to make sure."

Char Rhouseman title=

"Aye Aye Sir!"

Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=

The details on this figure are pretty stunning.

Char Rhouseman title=

Lovely curly wirly hair.

Char Rhouseman title=

Fauna returns.

Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=

Airi returns too.

Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=

There is a snag with this figure and its this garment - its really tough to remove.

Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=

Char threatens to whip my ass or launch her torpedoes at me when I procrastinate for too long.

Char Rhouseman title=

If you don't want paint coming off on your figure then I recommend that you remove some paint from the battle damage clothing with some thinnner - this is the thinner I use for my Gundam painting.
That reminds me - still need to finish that Gundam Wing!

Char Rhouseman title=

As you can see there is quite a bit of paint to remove. I only discovered that the paint comes off on her skin when I removed this garment for the photo shoot. Some of her torso and eyes where covered in blotches of paint.
Color transfer from garments can be removed from the skin using thinner and a cotton bud - but don't rub too hard as the skin may start to rub off too.

Char Rhouseman title=

The huge box and goodies that come with the figure. Nana Mizuki does one of the voices on the drama CD.

Char Rhouseman title=

Char also comes with an illustration booklet. Somebody needs to attend to that wound on her right eye - any volunteers?

Char Rhouseman title=

More cute illustrations spelled as "installation."

Char Rhouseman title=
Char Rhouseman title=

Loli Char.

Weapons of mass destruction? more like mass distraction.

I really don't care about size only the shape, taste and texture matter. It also has to be disease free and ripe (aged enough), you don't want to touch forbidden fruit.

    Arousing Char...
Say, Fauna and Airi look great like this. ^^

This and I want to say that I prefer bigger eyes when it comes to 2D characters (size 5 to 6 on the bust chart... remember?) while 5 is aplenty on 3D ones. ^^

Torpedo? You think so? Char seems fine to me.
    I've seen worse, trust me.

This said, I tend to focus more on the shape than the side when I hear about this term... What can be seen in doujinshi such as Blue Eyes (which turn me off greatly).

Yup, big eyes, but realistic ones for my pleasure. ^^

Luv the flowing hair and details. Really gives a sense of motion. If only more figures included extra goods. I wish someone would come out with a Yoko with a fierce stare.

Fauna looks surprising natural on this body. I likey. Airi in my opinion looks better with her own (uncovered) melons.

Believe I choose 4-6 on the eyes scale. Char's are A-ok.

The breast size on a figure depends a lot on how the figure is sculpted so I like both normal and big but not as big as to make abnormal, for example Mirei-san breasts are big and I like them because they seem natural and some figures from queen's blade seem to big and unnatural.

I would really like to get Char but my thin wallet doesn't allow it :( perhaps if she's relaunched I'll get her

    Hi folks,
gsc made with this third shuraki figure a very good job near perfect
but "only" near, because one thing I don't like it so much ,is the painting of her eyes(real one's)this is not made of real colours they take stickers for it.
Max Factory do this often with her figures and it looks like a little bit cheap.

Fauna and Airi intermissions made me laugh so much here that my stomach is hurting now.

And about her torpedoes...it's funny she looks very normal in the illustration with the white dress.

    very nice review Danny, i tried with no luck at pre-ordering Char, she sold out like hotcakes. looks like i'll have to wait a few months before i can get my grubby hands on her. as for eyes, i prefer oranges, melons and anything above will just sag when they get older...and its not a pretty sight -__-;

Melons to oranges, as long as their not pears or bananas, thats what counts. But onto the matter 'at hand' (I wish, lol), NEED that fig, but have no money, am soon to be starving college student, for now am just new-figureless college student (blew the last of my extra monies on my Arisa figure, and I have to save to go to Anime North convention).

@ D_Blade: no, we need more eye related essays, maybe you should write a book? "The Blind Eyes: A History Of Oppai"

I've got this, very nice indeed. It is true her main garment is tough to remove and I think I cracked the inside of it trying to remove it (you can see a distinctive red line). But it looks fine on the outside. Overall well worth it.

Why is AnimeXing selling it for like 80 USD when all the other stores were selling around 60-65? I guess I'll wait to see if I can get a better price when they restock it.

Is it just me, or is the knucklebow of the sword placed to the side of the hilt?

I've always seen rapiers/epees with the knucklebow like this:

    http://www.armor.com/2000/catalog/images/171.jpg

Regardless, this is a very cool figure for the pose, detail and facial expression. This figure actually drew my attention to the Shuraki line, and now I'm interested in getting the Needa (ie. gun girl) figure....

I just got my Char today! Three Shuraki down and two to go! She is gorgeous, although is it cold in here? Because she seems a bit perky. I'm actually not a fan of perky eyes but for this gorgeous figure I'll accept it. The details put into her outfit/armor is amazing and completely on another level compared to the rest of the Shuraki I own. Plus...who can resist such cute curly hair? She was also surprisingly easy to setup unlike Nida/Needa.
