OMG! i was hoping it didn't turn out to be good so I can skip on getting it. but wow! if the final product comes out like that then I'm getting it for sure.
I usually pre-order since by the time the figure comes out everything is sold out already. I just wish that they're are review copies of the final product sent to figure reviewers so users will know before the release whether they'll get it or not. Just like how the video game industry works. :D

Saber Lily is really THE figure announced so far this year. Price is high but I guess it is inevitable for a figure of this quality and popularity.
Will usually pre-order for all my MUST GET figures. My local store offers very good price for pre-orders so it's a no-brainer for me. Mostly, I would have decided to get or not get a figure once I see the prototypes. Of course, there is always the inevitable "want to get" after seeing reviews. ^^"

Well, I guess we should've seen this coming - with all the anticipation, their bumping the price up should really be expected. It's already a likely candidate for figure of the year. And it *is* 1/7 scale.
Still - it's an amazing figure, and a preorder I'll skip out on. ^^; It's too expensive right now, and more importantly, I won't be at home when she ships. I would, hopefully, be in Hong Kong on vacation instead.
Guess I'll bank on being able to find her in a store. I've never shopped for figures in HK, but by all accounts HK is a pretty good place to shop outside of Japan itself. Will have to hang around the stores...anyone know the actual release date, rather than just the release month?

I preorder this stuff, especially when the figurine is THIS epic and so beautiful. I know it's something that'll be rare on the markets and be worth a TON if a ever wait (or worse yet, it's all gone).
Most of my figurines that I collect anyways are worth a bit more than they used to since I really like them and apparently are super rare now (who would've thunk it?)
So this figure is a MUST buy and pre-order. Seriously! Look how cool the pose is with her armour and stuff! Better than trying to get the figma for it IMHO. lol ><

New comer here, I am a die hard figure collection fiend, this figure should be pre-ordered, no questions asked! I am intrigued to register just to comment on Saber Lily. I pre-ordered the PS2 SP box to get my hands on the figma but this is like several magnitude more charming. If the production quality is close to these preview pictures, this could easily ranking top 10 out of the 150 or so figures I have collected! Coming from GSC, I expect a certain level of quality and the price tag I hope would warrant it.

Oh there is nothing wrong with EMS, I use that a lot too, especially for precious item like Saber Lily, EMS is the way to go. For less expensive items, I tend to go with HLJ and use SAL for lower shipping cost.
For people in Toronto, Canada. There is this online shop, Kc Toys Shop is offering pre-order for 1/7th Saber Lily but the price is $149.98 CAD plus taxes (around $169 I think). I pre-order one from them. I sort of estimated if ordering from HLJ or Playasia would probably cost the same after import into Canada. If unlucky and get custom charge it might cost more. Most of my figures are all pre-order. For me it is more safe and easier to budget your savings especially if you plan to have multiple collections of figures.

As for the pre order, i usually wait until things come out. Haven't bought my first figure yet but then again, I dont like ordering online either. SO ive been looking for a store here in Switzerland (preferably near zurich...)where i can get them at a decent price.
