The last article for 2007.

2007 was a fantastic year. Would like to say a big thanks to readers who have been here way before 2007, and a big hello and welcome to readers who have joined in 2007.

2007 was an eventful year for me - in particular leaving Microsoft to start my company Mirai Inc and growing this site to roughly 50,000 unique users a day. Oh and not forgetting the conception of Mirai-chan - expect to see much more of her next year.

You should also continue to expect more Japanism and Otakuism shenanigans in 2008 together with huge upgrades to the site which includes the ability to contact other members, post images together with your comments, monetize from your content and find/discover things much more easily.

Chosen a few memories of 2007 which you will find in the 2007 archives.
Thanks once again and see you on the other side (Stargate warping sound effects.)

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

I started out at lurker and didn't join until somewhere between 2004 and 2005.(Can't exactly remember ^^;) It's amazing to see how much the site has changed over the years. I found the site while trying to find someone who imports figures to the uk at a reasonable price. I now visit every morning & check again when I get home from work.

P.s. still havent found a good importer.

i signed up as member in the later half of 2007. actually before that i drop by once in a while when i was goggle-ing for anime and gundam stuffs.

ever since i signed up, i got hooked. the blog is very informative, up-to-date and lots of pictures to see.

Casual reader since around January 2006 I think.... you're blog is full of great content and I enjoy reading most of your posts.

Also Danny, I think earlier in the year you mentioned a website that sells figures online, if there is such a website where I can order figures (English please- I can't read katakana T_T) I would greatly appreciate it if you could slip that web address by me- I am getting a job at the university soon and I will be making green! or some kind of colored paper that is good for currency.

Lots of good memories here- I remember a lot of those posts and I think you did an excellent job covering figures this year along with more information regarding daily life in Japan. You're blog is always a joy to read- thanks for stopping by mine ocassionally to read some of my content- to an extent I think it is interesting but I want to step it up in 2008. I can't wait to see some additions to the website! It would be great to meet some new friends here and have some contacts. See you next year-

you know i cant actually remember when i started visiting???? but it had to be at the start of the year or maybe before. but i remember i stumbled across this site while looking for gunpla within europe (damn i didnt find any) sadly everything had to be bought/sent internationally.
