Acekard 2 DSI

Mufufufu. Finally get to play homebrew games with the AceKard 2 on the DSi. Amazonian comrade is staying over and came via the peoples republic - he nabbed one before he came to Japan.
The Acekard does not work out of the box and you need to download the system software and save it on a micro SD card (which is not included) before it will work.
As you can see from the screenshot, the Acekard 2 will read games from the micro SD card or from the SD card slot in the DSi. Have not yet tried out Moonshell or other media applications.
Unlike all other cards, the DSi will recognize the Acekard straight away. If you are making the switch over from R4, all you have to do is rename your save files to all lower case as follows and it should work.
some_homebrew_game.SAV > some_homebrew_game.nds.sav
I would advise to turn off wifi functionality as Nintendo made it clear that they will download patches without your permission which would render devices like the Acekard unusable.
Even though the DSi screen is just a bit bigger than the NDS, it feels odd playing the NDS after gaming on the DSi for a while.
Review of the new model DSi here desu.
