Perfect Grade RedFrame

Looks like I'm going to get back into Gundam modeling come this March when the PG Astray is out. Retails for a whopping 18,900 yen.
The PDF of the above image also states that it will come with a comic of some sort and that you need to be over 15 to buy it. Wonder why the age restriction?

Original text from Subaruhess below.

Its official now, that astray perfect grade bandai advertised is infact going to be redframe. I'm not too sure but it looks like it still uses the same old strike as the base so I assume its going to be a retooled strike perfect grade? Anyhow it does actually look really good as a perfect grade, I found the 1/100 model rather plain & chunky. Cant wait to see the production prototype, could be my first perfect grade. It's another milking technique. Create another "new" kit using a frame of something similar and sell it off. They do not have to spend much redesigning their resin machines, yet reap the profits :p

I'll wait for more info before passing judgement. I already have a stack of gundams to build. Both PG strike and rouge need to be assembled, as well has the PG wing0 haha.

It's more a matter of available time I have, with this one I think

Well- if the age restriction is PG15, I don't think it's gonna be about Gundam ecchi... probably lots of mecha dismemberment?

HUWAW! A Perfect Grade Red Frame! Awesome! Unfortunately, the price is "awesome" too. T__T I don't think I can afford this, which is too bad since I already have the 1/100 version (http://www.dannychoo.com/detail/mac/eng/image/7909/Modified+Gundam+Astray+Red+Frame.html) and I was hoping I could get this and use the same color combination I used for my 1/100 version.

I'm surprised the next PG isn't the Freedom. If Bandai can re-use the Strike frame to make an Astray, I bet they could make a PG Freedom. I assume that comparing Freedom vs. Astray, the Freedom may have a larger fanbase.

Not that I'm getting any of them either way. Oh no, the server went walkies on me.

Don't like the design at all to be honest, messy looking. I prefer things like the mass-produced Gundam from 08th MS Team or the Zaku. I do have one other kit from Astray though, the Ginn type Insurgent.

Personally. I miss those 'Gundam' days, the days which really made this site what it was all them years ago & got me into the anime & also collecting Gunpla.

this sites really come a long way since then but even though the sites 'Mission Objectives' hasnt changed at all (bringing us the Japanese culture straight to our screens) the general direction that its been heading has changed drastically due to general 'evolution' of the site where a lot more features opened up to different things other then just Mecha or Gundam related news. where as I cant fault you for wanting to take the site in a diff direction - Im no way saying what your doing is bad. I honestly quite enjoy reading all your posts if i have the time. but, im starting to either go awol from the site for long periods of time, or go for long periods without posting.

obviously 1 person leaving the 'danny-choo empire' is not much of a loss since you have so many vistors & will continue to recieve new visitors who will register here & give it the attention this site truely deserves.

with that said, again I thank you for all your efforts in the past years & also for the new years that you continue to add to the site.

I wont be gone completely - I will still be keeping up with whats going on via webfeeds & off visits :)

anyway enough rambling from me :) Good luck & Cya around.

I just bought PG Strike last month, and i haven't even finish assemble it T.T
But anyway, very likely I'll get this PG Astray. In fact my first SEED Gunpla is the 1/144 Astray, so this MS really mean something to me. I have 1/144, HG, SD, 1/100, so i can't run away from this PG so that the whole family can gather.

by the way, that isn't the age restriction. It's recommended for people age 15 and above, just like the MG kit. While HG and others are age 8 and above. Check your gunpla boxes. I thought everyone knew this??
