A bit of trivia for you - Tokyo doesn't have any Pizza Hut restaurants available to eat out at

Back in the UK, I was used to going out with the lads for a bit of Pizza Hut. The one we used to go to most is the one in Leicester Square.
I arrive in Japan to discover that if I wanted some Pizza Hut, I would have to travel out of Tokyo to Chiba or Saitama which are out in the sticks ^^; Alternatively, I order through the phone and the Pizza Hut boy (but sometimes a very cute girl) would come on the cool scooters like the ones you see in the photo above. I found it interesting that even though Pizza Hut exists in Japan, Tokyo has not one restaurant to eat out at (source.)

The worst Pizza Hut I had was in Penang Malaysia. Ordered a pineapple and mushroom pizza. The pizza came and after a few bites I realize that theres no pineapple. I call the manager and he said that they ran out. I asked why they didn't tell me at the time of order he replied "well because you are not a local." I was like @.@

Below is Pizza Hut's latest offering. The crust is filled with prawns and mayonnaise and the main body can be filled with whatever you want. A large one for 3,550 yen (31 USD).

Below: Pizza menu.
Below: Side dishes.
Below: Dessert. First time I've seen Green Tea Tiramisu.
Below: Pasta Menu.
Below: Pizza Hut teams up with the online game Ragnarok after they have no more Code Geass for a while.
Below: TV ad for Pizza Huts latest offering.

I personally am not a fan of pizza hut, but some of my friends don't mind it here. I prefer Papa John's which are only takeout/delivery outlets in my immediate area. I read however, that Papa John's in China are a big deal and have seated dining. Very different pizza style like over there much like this pizza hut menu with seafood stuff.

The only problem with Pizza Hut here in Brazil is that they are SO DAMN EXPENSIVE.

The basis is: Regular pizza + 50 to 100% = Pizza Hut.

And the thing is: it's not hard to find regular pizza as good or even better than Pizza Hut around here.

But yeah, they have a pretty unique taste. Once a month I order some medium or small peperoni + super supreme.

Danny, whats with the 25-30 dollars for a pizza? I can get two larges for $19 dollars. Wow.. I didnt think pizza would be so expensive in Japan. I guess it more than balances out with the rest of the food being inexpensive and tasty.

The side dishes come in much more variety than our. I laughed when I saw "sausage with bone," what's up with the bone lol? One aspect of Japanese food culture (sometimes Asian in general) is the fascination with corn (reference to the corn salad). I like corn myself but not with some of the foods that Japan serves with it, like pizza for example; I assume the corn adds a bit of freshness to every bite.

LOL you got that bad of a service in Malaysia? I'm sorry to hear that. I guess the quality of the service differs from place to place. In the case of Pizza Hut in my area, it's pretty close by (about 15 minutes of walking). The pizzas are alright and delivery is fast (due to proximity). A large pizza here cost RM22 (USD6.51). Recently, I seem to have quit Pizza Hut due to the emergence of Italian restaurants that serves authentic pizzas.

pizzas are great-tasting once you've replicated japanese recipes by smothering some kewpie japanese mayo on top. you should try it too, it is highly commendable. just don't forget to add the ketchup for it not to taste too strange. but it is good on it's own though.

One thing I noticed in my trip to China is that the "Pizzas" Asian countries serve are very....unique, in that it caters to the taste of the people of that nation. I mean I'd try some but I'll stick to the good old fashion Pepperoni and cheese, unless something outrageous came out like a say Chicken Curry Pizza. It might taste nasty but gotta try everything curry :D.
On another note, the deserts look delicious, I didn't even know Pizza Hut offered desserts! Green Tea Tiramisu and Chocolate Mousse please.

Wow Danny, those are some interesting toppings on those pizzas. It would be interesting to try a few of them. Pizza Hut is where I usually get pizza because it's cheaper and tastes pretty good considering what you pay. To be honest, there really aren't a lot of "eat-in" pizza joints where I live nowadays. A lot of them are just pick-up and delivery places. Roundtable Pizza is probably the best tasting as far as chain pizzarias go, but they charge you and arm and a leg. Sometimes the best pizza is found in those little "mom and pop" joints that are hidden away in plazas and stuff. LOL if you're really stuck on cash and still want to eat some pizza, Lil Caesar's Pizza has this $5 "Hot N Ready" Large pizza deal. It may not be the best tasting pizza ever, but c'mon it's only $5 and it's a decent sized pepperoni or cheese pizza. That's win in my book, being on a budget and all.

Pizza Hut is the worst pizza period. This is coming from a guy living in Chicago, where the best pizza in the States is made(New York is arguable). If your going to eat chain restaurant pizza, then Lou Malnati's or Gino's is acceptable, otherwise the mom and pop pizza places are the best.

I'm honestly surprised that so many people think Pizza Hut is good. It doesn't even remotely compare to a real Italian pizza, and it's very expensive. I've been to Italy & France alot, and the pizza's there are so much better, there's just no words for it. Luckily I have a Turkish restaurant closeby which makes very decent pizza's. I never again will go to Pizza Hut, unless there are no other options.

Malaysia Pizza Hut used to have lousy service, but they improve this few year! The service is totally different compare to the past!

Mmm Pizza, haven't had that in awhile. Been eating too much Shanghainese food lately =P But in Canada I prefer Pizza Pizza, great price, good quality =D Most people take out though at Pizza Pizza instead of sit down and eat like Pizza Hut.

Hmm, typically Japanese flavors. I don't know how, but they come up with flavors that sound like they were picked by a blindfolded chef putting his finger down on some random page in a open cookbook, yet somehow turn out to be pretty good when you let your tastebuds finally take one for the team. Astounding and amusing.

That isn't to say we Pinoys don't do the same thing. I mean, salted egg pizza, roast suckling pig pizza, "sisig " (Look it up. Kinda like haggis, and just as appealing to most of you) pizza...

Hmm... how about a "Meal of the Week" thing for the site, Danny? I'm sure most of us would be curious as to what else the Japanese eat, apart from the usual sushi and ramen imagery we usually associate with their meals.

Your Pizza Hut menu's looked delicious. Your menu differ from my country.

My country menu has Supreme series pizza, New Orleans Wings, Pasta, Garlic Bread etc. It used to have Tom yam Kung pizza which I never eat. (I like chicken supreme the most.) Currently they have the exclusive menu called cheese bite fondue. The crust which is filled with the cheese filled sausage, eat with the melt cheese paste.

In my opinion Thailand Pizza Hut is good but it's too expensive. I prefer to Pizza Company which is the first Pizza Hut licensee in Thailand. (Currently the KFC hold Pizza Hut license in Thailand.) It almost has the same menu as Pizza Hut but cheaper.

Pizza Hut supports the Rebellion! I occasionally enjoy a pizza hut pizza. I like the more "hole in the wall" food places than anything else. So a privately owned family pizza shop tastes handmade and more delicious in my opinion. It's just a mental thing I guess. I like that menu you showed up there Danny, it's really unique. I guess all franchises are unique to the country it's in.

Pizza Hut here is great! ^__^

before, pizza hut's only competitor here was shakey's and both are american companies but now they've got some local competitors which are slowly eating away their dominance in the pizza business here and the best example of a local owned pizza company is Yellow Cab Pizza.

Yellow Cab's pizza here is imo better than Pizza Hut's and much larger and cheaper

Well, haven't eaten Pizza Hut specialties for years. Pizza itself has been gave up upon because I go for healthier food. However I have yet to eat Pizza Hut for one last time soon (I won't make it a habit for sure), because CC brainwashed me partially. ;)

I LOVED Korean and Japanese pizza even though they're just as fattening as any American pizza.

I still love American Pizza Hut and Dominoes, but the problem is that they're very greasy and fattening.

Good thing there are New York Pizzerias near where I live. Some downright legendary and most obviously the best pizzas in the planet.

I'm a fan of simple, crispy pizza with a small amount of high quality toppings, so I find pizza hut to be pretty rubbish.

Needs Pizza in Kanazawa is some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. I notice that many pizza menu options in Japan have what I found to be the strange inclusion of corn. I have never eaten corn on a pizza before and when I tried it it was surprisingly ok.
