Neon LED Stormtrooper Helmet

Something else that I need to add to the to-do list - add neon LEDs shining through from underneath the armor. Probably should be able to pick them up from Akiba.
Also need to mod my helmet so that the lens can slide down to de-steam the helmet.
Forgot that I need to add speakers under the chest plate too which I would attach a voice changer and iPod to.

Original text from gordon below.

So today I was at my senior's house and one of his many collections inside his armoury is this ultra cool Stormtrooper helmet installed with blue neon LED.

It doesn't warm up so no worries about the heat. ^^;

        don't think those round batteries will last long. this uses nine-volt battery as u can see on the left of the helmet.

    Use some sort of knob on the sides of the helmet (the ears) so you can slide the eye glass up and down. Also do your armor up my installing blue neon on your boots or chest and add some hydraulics while your at it ^^;

    wouldn't it hurt your eyes if you put those bright LEDs inside the dark helmet environment?

    oh, Danny, about modding your lens so it could slide down to de-fog...how about doing what motorcycle helmets do and add open-able vents around the mouth piece area? They also have ones above the visor, but that wouldn't look too good with a trooper helmet, maybe do it on the grey areas beside the eye peice too.

    There are anti-fog liquid sprays that you can get for swimming goggles and airsoft goggles
    I don't exactly know how it works, but my cousin in HK plays airsoft very seriously and since he wears glasses, he seems to always carry a small bottle around everywhere with him.
    I bought a bottle for use on my swimming goggles and they work pretty well

    You can definitely use it on regular glasses as it really helps in the winter when eating hot steamy food

    You should be able to pick up some good ultra bright LED kits that are easily modifiable to run off 12v DC battery at Don Quixote. Look in the car section - they have a number of different sets with multiple LEDs running off a single multicore. They sound like exacty what you're looking for.

    That's quite interesting =o Was there a reason for choosing blue? I'd guess Danny would choose orange xD

    My friends helmet has little fans to exhaust his breathe out so it doesn't fog up. Just make sure you don't have bad breathe!

    Awesome DIY...
    Wonder how the result looks though... I'd say it probably looks a little scary. xD

    Well it is pretty cool... but I still don't know the real purpose of this LED. Just to make it look cool? I guess it shines on the outside, eh?

    The led inside the helmet would look cool from the outside view. Look! My helmet eye holes have blue light.

    great idea stickinf LED's in the helmet, but i wouldnt use it too long though. also i think you can create a cavity on the inside of the chest plate and put the ipod there with a plastic window with an opening to access the scroll wheel on the ipod.
