Saw these on Sankaku just a little while ago. The artwork was nicely done. I'm not sure how much they resembled the Clannad characters because I never followed the Clannad series (yeah, I'm sure I lost a bit of Otaku cred with that statement :/ ).

I was very disappointed with this doujinshi. I love Tony works but this one was just boring, the color illustrations were very simple compared with his older works and the history was just plain simple.

I think this doujinshi is one of the lesser good work of Tony Taka sensei. Maybe he didn't have enough time to make this book but compared to last Macross Frontier doujinshi, this could have been a lot better.
