AkibaMap has more photos and coverage of the DSi compatible device that allows you to play homebrew games made by your friends.

If you are in Akihabara, you may be able to get one from these street vendors for 7,800 yen - pick one up before the police pick them up.
Acekard 2 in action below.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

I saw these last week, was hesitant to buy though because I hadn't heard anything about them till now. Though, I would have needed to pick up a dsi too and that wasn't in my budget so it works :)

Forgot where I got this from, but apparently the R4 doesn't work with the DSi, but there's a new R4 [R4-III *I think*] That's supposedly made for the DSi...

Interesting they're selling it right out in the open like that when they're considered pirate devices and there has been a crackdown going on.

That was fairly quick. I still think that most people would prefer a DS Lite over a DSi since the DS Lite still supports GBA games. Not that I've played a GBA game in my DS recently, but knowing that there's the backwards compatibility is what's important.
