Cockroaches in Japan

Dont understand this at all - a DVD of a woman eating cockroaches while having it off. If you really need to watch her, go here and click on "sample movie" - word of warning though - its incredibly NSFW and sick.
If you want the whole video then Secret Japan has a link for the torrent. Erm, great find by Secret Japan?

Might as well add a few sentences about cockroaches while I'm here ^^; Never seen any when I lived in the UK or US, saw many in Malaysia and see them occasionally in restaurants over here - especially at beef bowl chains. They occasionally find their way into the house too.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Otaku category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

Cockroaches are probably available for eating anywhere in the world, you just don't know where to go find them...

But cockroaches don't taste that bad when cooked decently...

I like to eat grasshoppers though...

    Es cargo/Snails aren't bad either...

You guys probably honestly just need to get out more and explore and try new things if you think it's sick =_=

My animal diet consists of the following:

    1. Cows
    2. Pigs
    3. Poultry
    4. Fish
    5. Select shells and crustaceans

Anything outside of these is completely and absolutely off limits. Nothing anyone can say can convince me otherwise.

    Cockroaches........yuck.

But yeah, Japan has the weirdestest fetishes of them all.
The country is more open to experimentation on the sex-fetish stuff.
Me? I think my only reaction while watching a video like that would be barfing my last 5 meals or so. :P

I remember I had one in my hotel room in Tokyo one evening ;p
Saw something moving in the corner of my eye, and it was gone, saw it again in the corner of my eye, and then it struck me it was an insect, probably a cockroach.
So it's apparently quite normal in Japan to come across them.

Well, seeing such video will give me the creeps and may even cause me to skip a couple of meals now and then. Overall, isn't that gross to begin with?

Just how well does this video sell? I'll have to guess that those are special bred roaches and not just any old Arthropod off the street. Just... why cockroaches? Was there a poll online that asked what she should do and "eat cockroaches" won? Would this fetish even exist if there was no "mosaic"? Interesting post none the less.

I thought cockroaches carries disease? Anyways, I've only ever seen one cockroach, and that was outside in summer. It's just too cold for them to flourish quite as much in Canada, though they do like our buildings. Apparently cockroaches can only exist outside of tropical areas because of our buildings.

Probably, pretty scary and it's just a completely nightmare for me.

Reading up without clicking a link is enough to scare the sh** out of me. I mean, doe anyone want to do it with those critters? I mean, did she use laboratory/cockroach farm raised roaches???

Seeing a cockroach move about is scary enough, much more if they fly and get bitten by 'em when asleep.

Now reminds me of a local manga published before in a now defunct anime magazine entitled "Gokiburi" about a guy/girl loving cockroaches.....*sick*
