Creative Bento of Gertrud Barkhorn although it probably tastes a bit plain - the dark stuff is Nori which is Japanese dried seaweed.

Original text from Tojii below.

Indeed!

I saw this at www.crunchyroll.com and I thought I had to shear it with you guys.

Yes, that is in fact a Lieutenant Barkhorn Bento... How mutch time is invested in such wonderful art!?
Hope not to many people have seen it all ready.

On a scale of 1-10:
How awesome?

Extremely well done! Over the course of my Anime Obsession, I have also come across other very well made and elaborate bentos. While this is nice, it would have been even better if he/she added more color using meat, fishcake, etc... Sushi and rice is kinda plain...

3rd try posting comment, it is either comment going to appear 3 times or once

The seaweed is prolly "cut" using CG tools and then superimposed onto the bento.

Anyway if this comment only appear once, then theres some problem with the scripting in the posting, aka msg wont appear if u click on post comment and then login from there.

Steps to properly consume an Anime bento:

    1. Admire Bento
    2. Take picture of Bento
    3. Frame picture
    4. Eat Bento while looking at picture.
