Hot air balloon operator FatB discovers the up n coming Chin-Li movie trailer. I'm guessing many will still watch out of curiosity.

Original text from FatBastard below.

What better way to end the year than to show all my fellow DC'er the latest Japanese trailer for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. I'm sure some of you are curious enough to click, no? Would it help if I told you there are ecchi parts in it?

So sorry... I don't have a gift receipt if you don't like it or it doesn't fit you. You'll have to secretly regift it, and forward it to someone else you luv (or hate). Sharing is caring.

Happy New Year DC.com!

    damn it

i always hated Kristen Kreuk in Smallville

she always looked like a high school teen girl

she doesn't suit for adult roles

Smallville has become way more interesting since she left and been replaced by Lois who is a real gorgeous woman ^^ :o)

anyway, street fighter will be much better than Dragon Ball

it's impossible to be worth than Dragon Ball, the worst movie ever created since the existence of mankind !!!

NAO! Lois is not the right Lois... she's too old for Clark. Chloe ftw! I know it won't be her in the end.... but still Chloe ftw!!

Lois should be Teri Hatcher, from the Lois and Clark Adventures of Superman back in the 90's!! That was awesome.... Dean Cain as Superman rocked. Though Tom Welling is so cute. His necks got thicker with age though... not cute...

Just to let you all know, I remember reading somewhere that the person playing as Chun Li is part-Chinese.

I'm not going to see this anyway. Ever since "Street Fighter's" rights were brought over to the Foreigner branch, "Street Fighter" has been worse than utter trash to put it lightly. (Darn you Konata for giving me that habit!) Actually, "Street Fighter" has been worse than utter trash ever since 1997 and I grew up on "Street Fighter". This further proves my point.

Better than the Dragon Ball movie although that's not really saying much. At the very least they aren't using something that's not completely based off the game (by making it about Chun Li's past).

Yeah, I'll pass on this one. The actress they pick for Chun-li should be more suited to the role, I think. Then again, my idea of a good Hollywood movie is "The Maltese Falcon" from 1941, so I'm not a good judge of modern movies.

I hate fighting movies so I will like this one as much as the rest of them ^^

As for Street Fighter. I'm kind of biased regarding it. I never really liked the game (and now I dislike it more than I used to), yet I ended up being known as a local champion of Street Fighter II. Somehow I was able to beat those guys who spent hours playing while I played stuff like Civilization or didn't use the computer at all.

Maybe I'm a natural because I once visted a guy and he really wanted to play against me in Soul Calibur 2 (I think that was the name). Within I won after 2-3 fights even though I never tried it before and then he wanted me to try the level that he was stuck at in single player and I won that fight too... I had never tried that game before.

I saw the trailer awhile ago, the movie is like an action movie rather than a SF movie. Vandamn's(lol) movie was to kiddy this one to to action packed WITH NO REFERNCE NO ANYTHING about SF only the poster dress of Chunli. Seems they've just bought off the licensed name to make a movie.

Actually guys. ON CLOSER INSPECTION....half way through the teaser you do see Kreuk dressed in the traditional CHUN-LI outfit. You only get a glimpse of her flipping while falling down with her hands in a fighting stance, but she is indeed wearing the signature BLUE outfit.

EVERYONE. WATCH THE TRAILER CLOSELY. SHe even has her hair done up with those round air bundts...

If you look closer at the trailer, half way through you do see a glimpse of her wearing the blue Chun Li dress complete with her hair bundts too. Look closer and you'll see it.

My bet is that its being hushed up before they show it. SO as not to scare away general audiences... I mean the whole Chun Li dress does look a bit corny....sorry to say.

I'll probably see it, I mean sure it looks nothing like Street Fighter but think about the old street fighter movies, they wore the costumes and all but ended up like crap, this one might not be as half bad as so many flame about.

the whole point of having an Asian character is to be played by an Asian person...

I blame Capcom for not giving a damn about the movies as they just want the license revenue.
As much as the movie might be a decent action movie it seems totally unrealeted to Street Fighter whasoever.

They're just exploring the Street Fighter name in order to get more people in theaters to increase their earnings, they know very well that the action movie lover will go watch and they also know that a good chunk of the Street Fighter fanbase will watch it just out of curiosity.

Its pretty much like Dragonball tho Dragonball at least has Dragonballs and kamehamehas, I doubt we'll see Chun-li in her usual garment doing a Spining Bird Kick.
Hell I doubt we'll se Bison at least wearing a red-ish suit.

Capcom should be ashamed right now, as well the movie producer for exploring such a good Franchise in such lame way.

Also they didn't "invest" anything they sold the rights to a movie company for the production of a movie based on the Resident Evil Franchise, they pretty much just signed a few papers and saw their acount grow a few millions more.
