Moe Saves Japan

Looks like Japan has found the secret to a booming business during the recession - Moe.
Some of you may remember that this illustration is being used on the packaging of a brand of rice from the Akita prefecture. The manufacturers are pleased to report that they sold 2 years worth of rice within just a month thanks to the packaging renewal.

I hear that car manufacturers are not doing to well - looks like Honda, Nissan and co need to start making Itasha.
