Figma Reika looking very nice indeedee. Looking forward to doing head swaps with Kagami ^^; More pics at Figma Blog.
Thanks to wcloudx for always providing the latest figure news - you can pretty much catch all the latest releases at his burogu.
I respect the way that he posts figure news as he never grabs images from other sites and then direct users to his burogu for more (blog spam). He always links direct to the source.

Hmmm. it looks like its time to reward members who post news items - will come up with something and post soon.

PS. Posting a photo for a figure review and then directing users to ones site is completely fine though.

Original text from wcloudx below.

Finally, the final product is completed!!

Totally impressed with how she turns out in the end ^^ Quite amazed with the quality, especiallly her face. She probably got the prettiest face out of all the Figma(s) so far ^^

She's scheduled for June 2009 release. She will be bundled together with the release of Gantz Vol. 26 at 4,572 Yen. Hobby Search is taking reservations for her, in case you missed it ^^

For more pictures you can head to Figma Blog.

hmm... I was looking forward to how Reika would look in the end but now I'm not so sure. All the joins stick out now and kind of looks bad. The upside is that its poseable in nearly any way you want. Too bad I'm not that big on Gantz... Its nice to see it finished now though.

They have for me, of my three figma, two have broken an arm, which has really put me off, if I ever get another (with the exception of my Kpnata for Xmas) it'll be Suzaku since he has the same body as Lelouch and he never broke anywhere.

Quality of the figmas? Have they ever disappointed? Of course they have! First with my broken hand with Yuki and then with Konata's loose hair piece. Actar, you of all figma fans should know this!

Luckily Max Factory remedied this problem in later releases for Tsukasa and Kagami by having more than one peg in the hair piece for the Figma.

But still Max Factory, I'm still shaken up by some of your figure's design flaws and quality control too. Ever heard of the infamous Kagami "arm snap" issue?

Whoah, people actually had something bad to say about Figma? That really shocked me, considering how Figmas are always given the 1st class reception like the rebirth of Jesus and every other companies that manufactures non-scale action figures are seen as inferior to it in every way. Not that I hate Figma (I'm also a Figma collector), but I really hate the image of 'perfection' that other collectors tend to project on the series.

Well that so called "image of perfection" that many figma collectors seem to emulate is simply not true. Like any other mass produced product sold in the market today, there are always flaws.

Whether that be flaws in paint jobs, flaws in joints and flaws in the durability of the plastic (ie: strength that prevents breakage).

I just hope that no more of these darn breakage issues happen to me in the near future....

It seems to be that the makers of figmas are learning and trying to correct the breaking problems and applying the solutions to later models.
I believe I read elsewhere (on DC and other sites) that the joints pegs are improved by making them from harder plastics (ABS? not sure anymore) and the sticking out parts from softer plastics.

An example of the softer part I mentioned that I noticed is on figma Ryoko Asakura, the front ends her hair is made of soft flexible plastic, won't break if bent a little. A good thing since they can get in the way a bit while posing.

Gantz was a pretty horrible anime, i read the manga and its a lot better its 1 of my top fav manga along with "Psyren" "Immortal regis" "Doubt (Rabbit Doubt)" "Akumetsu" and "Kurohime" yeah those. i do like this figure ^_^ though not so sure about Reika she has a strange mind. obsessing over Kurono <.< i think Kurono is the only person who doesn't notice how awesome he actually is.

So is her Gantz suit castoffable? Cuz in the manga it looks like alot of parts are detachable^^;...

I was a big fan of Gantz, both manga and anime. Definitely getting this. And yes, I always visit wxcloudkumo, probably more than Danny's site (I know sacrilege!), but Wcloud always gets the new new figure releases on his blog first - wcloudx fan here :D

Gantz was never something I really found myself interested in. Seemed kind of generic and bland to me, especially the anime. As for the figure itself, I don't know it just looks off to me. The hip to leg joint just looks kind of jarring. They look like they're extruding too far out for their joint to fit in properly. This probably allows a greater range of motion, but to me it just doesn't look very good...
This reminds me of the Fraulein line of Revoltechs, in particular the Rei and Asuka ones, and I can't remember noticing their legs being that jarring to me.

It doesn't look too bad IMHO.
The character looks spot on; busty chest, cute face, just like the character. That being said, there doesn't seem to much to look at apart from that. Lots of uninteresting black, at least that's what I see from the photos.

Somehow Reika looks a lot different from the other figmas. Looks a lot more detailed.

Ah Gantz was such a good anime. The character development is that series is like no other. By the end of the series their change really shows. I have high hopes for this figure!

Sushi chef, and will be student.

been watching " Gantz", and one thing I realized about this manga is that other characters either die brutaly or gets thier arms or legs severed... very very GORY~!!
But Reika is the only character that doesnt get harmed.
For you to able to enter Gantz's room (read the manga or watch the anime, then you'll understand Gantz's room.) you have to die, and Reika was killed in Shibuya's massecre.
Although in the manga it was never shown, she was just sitting in the corner of the room assuming that she was killed somehow... (if you have no idea what Im talking about? read the manga. Reika doesnt appear in the anime, so dont waste your energy to find her. She appears later in the story from what anime has covered.)
Maybe its because her character... she is a really popular idol.
Even some of the monsters wants her autograph. lol
She's like a perfect girl that every man will ever ask for... popular, strong, courageous, kind, and etc.
Im just hoping that later on that they wont kill her in the story.
    Anyone aggree with my theory?
