1/8 scale Good Smile Horo should be up for pre-order at your fave online figure dealer now. Due out in April and retails for 7,500 yen.
More pics at GSC. Personally would love to see the Tony Taka nekkid Horro version - somewhere on this page.
Hmmmm. shes cute too (unrelated-nsfw-but-tony-taka-too)

Maybe it is the fact you really can't see the nose at this angle because of the light... but I like it. The face pops in contrast to the hair which looks awesome. Love the dynamic pose as well. Very Tempting but I probably want to eat over the next month T_T

Well, it all depends on what you have watched. If you watch the anime only, of coz it's off to you. But if you read all manga, light novel, and the anime, then it really doesn't matter to you at all (since they all have different style). XD

Unproportionate face? Unfortunately for you this is the anime version of Horo that we're looking at. The face, large eyes and even weird position of the nose are all accurately done to what was seen in the anime.

I have only seen the Anime and I believe its the big smile that makes us think the face is unproportionate. I've taken a look at the episode where horo ate those apples (ep 3) because that was the first scene I remembered her smiling in and its not such a precise line at the mouth's top.
Except for that I think they have done a great job with the figure.

Nice Horo figure! I too feel it's still not 100% spot on for Horo but it does look more like he and much better than the other Horo figures out there. And it does have some of that spunky and mischievous atmosphere.

"Personally would love to see the Tony Taka nekkid Horro version." QFT Danny!
Tony Taka's art is terrific. They really need to release a collector artbook with his best illustrations, including those from his Comiket doujins.

Face is comepletely off? Darn and your Canadian too. If you compare screencaps from the anime series to this figure's face, its really spot on. You might think that the nose is set too low or the eyes are too large, but fact is, if you rewatch the anime, its really like that.

You must be a fan of the manga then i take it?

And yes I agree, if it weren't for that design with the figure balanced on one toe, I would buy it. Definitely a leaner indeed.....

On closer inspection everyone here is probably a little bit ticked on the slight difference in the shape of the mouth when compared to that iconic still image of here waving out here right hand at the audience.

The original drawing had her smile curved up a little bit.

Of course this is a 3-D statue. And like all things that are translated from 2D to 3D its sometimes hard to capture all the fine details.

Given if the figure doesnt lean "too much" I might just buy this one! Don't have a anime statue/figure yet.... ^_^

Only action figures like Figma and Vinyl figures.

According to the GSC site, one can change between the pants and long skirt. It just so happens that Danny choose the sole sample image that features her in pants. Perhaps, it was to accentuate her figure more since the skirt does hide it some.

I just checked out the rest of the promo pics and it seems to me that:
1)The face looks much better from other angles
2)It actually comes with a hat, a vest and a skirt
3)The 'clothings' (particularly the vest) actually correct the proportion of the figure once they're on it (much like how the Saints of Bandai's Saint Seiya Cloth Myth look super skinny without their clothes on)
This could easily be the best Horo figure so far, except for the possible leaning. ><

I did like the Kotobukiya one, it captured her nicely. Too bad it was not in this costume. I hope there will be more as this one does not look like the wolf deity with the appearance of a 15 year old girl that is ホロー. 諦めなよ!☆

This horo is really cute, I like everything except for one thing; the nose. I find that the nose makes the face a bit weird ^^.

Not really a figure collector myself but, always like the paint work on Good Smile's figures. I like the black frills along the edge of the dress and the red rope(?) behind her.

just have to say that the photos will always look better than the figures. whats the reason behind this again i think it was because photos reflect our actual shape n size in 2D right? or am i wrong.
