A 32 year old senior police officer resigned from the force after being caught trying to take an up-skirt shot of a 16 year old school girl with his mobile phone.

The reason why the police officer resigned however was not because he felt guilty and that it was wrong (in particular as a police officer) but because as punishment, his pay was going to be reduced by 10% and be suspended for 3 months...
Via Asahi.
BTW, I couldn't find a picture of a policeman taking an up-skirt photo so the next best thing is a screen shot of some police ladys from Pato Girl (NSFW).

    Pervesion never a problem in S'pore. If a person was found guilty, not only would the law cane his ass, the public would go into a 'policy of isolate the perv'.
    if he didn't die in jail he would die of isolation and lonelines

    Perversion is a problem every where. But there are two kind of problems.

    1: People who are perverted are doing sexual crime. But some of the time the police can't get to them for some reason. Taking pic, that guy should have been fired.

    2: People who thinks every thing is perverted, and blow it all out of proportion. I just watched 20/20 on ABC and they talk about how school official and the district attorney charged two 14 years old boy for slapping two other female students. But they were playing a game. The female students didn't want them to be charge, since they were just fooling around. But the damn district attorney wont' stop. It took a petition to the judge to stop it. Also a 4 years old was charged for sexual harassment, but they boy just hugged a teacher.

    Some time people takes things too seriously. I can't even hug a good friend in school. The damn teacher thinks that any touching are sexual.

    We, the youngest generation, are not perverted. It is the older generation that makes every thing perverted.

    Hug = friendship
    Nudity dose not equal to lust
    Lust dose not equal love

    I am not familiar with japan, but do they get all fussed up about kids having physical contact with each other.

    Where I'm at everyone is so conservative it's considered perverted to marry someone 10 years younger than you even if the one person is 50 and the other is 60. >.>

    I wouldn't be surprised if cops here in eastern Long Island did the same or worse. Thing is here they wouldn't get caught but praised by their fellow lechers on the force. Cops here are overpaid mafia and the sad part is I've not even scratched the surface on how corrupt they are but I don't want to get more negative than I already sound ^^;

    not really here in singapore. but the whole country will know of a single case as it does not happen often. you will get fined and jail here for taking up skirts. But guys here are not at max yet ... due to Po-Rn being illegal from birth to grave. unlike other country where there is age limits.

    I think it's a problem everywhere... but the actions about it are kinda different.

    I'll use other words for that, then everyone will agree that it's a problem on their own countries too: Sexual harassment, sexual abuse (to minors), invasion of privacy and police abuse (in this particular case).

    I know it happens in most countries. The thing that's truly different is that in Japan, you even have street signs warning girls/women where things like that happens...

    Rofl what a wacky and disgraceful outcome. Over here in Auz we have sexual harassment cases, inter - police (male ve female) harassment, but certainly none of this school girl business

    If anyone watching the news in Aus atm you will notice the moral HYSTERIA and PANIC over child pornography at the moment. (Bill Henderson scandal) and the big bust over censorship laws.

    Sigh~
