I'm going to buy this game, love the demo before...

Really, like the new version...

I actually prefer the original on this one. I don't know if it's with the eyes/tattoo? or what, but the original definitely appeals to me more. Such a great game too. The messenger bag available with the preorder (from GameStop) is pretty cool too!

Um, I didn't really mind the old one that much but, with the moe moe one next to it ^^;
It is just me or does this character resemble Soi Fon(from Bleach) quite a bit...
I'm definitely getting this game though ^-^

I like the original the most. She looks way more bad ass there, angry glare and all, and I think making all female game characters big-breasted is a bit annoying. We've got Lara Croft, and hers are big enough for 10 more years worth of characters. I like Cate Archer from NOLF more than Lara Croft, and she's as realistic as can be.
New version still looks good tho ^^;

I like both, both have its own qualities.

I saw the advert on TV last week and I was thinking, looks pretty good (animation wise).
I don't know about the gameplay, I waltz in game section in ASDA and notice it but didn't pick it up to look at it... Tomb Raider got me first and its a small line as well. I don't own any third GENs yet. Wii is coming this christmas maybe?

As for Danny's Question, Cannot decide. I like the big eye appeal but I also like the original.

I like the face of the edited version but I like the oppai of the original picture. If I recall correctly Faith (the name of the girl) is only 12 years old. It wouldn't really be appropriate if she had oppai as big as the edited version.

lol. The new one is cuter. But theres no need for bigger boobs. I wouldda thought that westereners would want bigger oppai.

I like the face of the moe version, but the oppai should've stayed as it was in the original.. i'm not realy a fan of big breasts :p

Jokes aside, I don't really think it makes a big deal. FPS aren't exactly popular games in Japan.

The right image is something photoshopped by a random 2-chan poster (or someone similar) who said the change with bigger oppai and no tattoo would be more popular in the Japanese market...

Prefer the original's body proportions better. She looks properly atheletic than the "moe" version (seriously, I think her center of gravity will be more messed up with the bigger breasts).

I don't know why people want the moe version. Let's see...you're a renegade at the near end of life and you want to be sympathized with your moe cuteness? I don't think that's going to work. The original concept remodelling tones down the realism a bit and puts me at ease and not as scary, though it should be since the game has a serious attitude from beginning to end.

I don't mind the smaller eyes, but the original looks like a female Bruce Lee:p

The picture on the left is how caucausian sees chinese girls. A typical stereotype of single-eyelid, long face, small breasts mindset.

I agree with what I read on Koataku. She does indeed look like a 12 year old with a boob job. I like Faith the way she was made. The image in the post was a new one I had not seen and to be honest it looks slightly revolting.

i beat it a while ago. it's pretty good. very stylish game. as for the picture, i prefer the original. the new one's kinda creepy to me...

Considering the art style between missions ins the game, I think maybe they should have. I'm not a fan of those flash like cutscenes. I have the bag too (the yellow one) and I'm carrying it around with me all the time :3

Yup, i prefer the original version. that guy at DICE had it right about looking like a 12 year old with a boob job. If i were the character designer behind this, i would be disappointed. not only was my work not vindicated, it was the subject of some boob job makeover!

Meh, they should have stuck with the original design. The character WAS a woman. Now she's a girl. That doesn't wash. You would think people would want some variety in their video game characters, but I guess not. Let's go for the old big-eyes, big-breasts cliche, because the fans are all shallow, inflexible, and overly hormonal.

I vote for the moe version as it is more better than the original version and the game seem interesting enough.

Don't know about this game but I like the new face. The new boobs are a bit too big for my taste, though. Also they look like drawn in a totally different style.

To me, I don't see the moe version as fit for the personality and ass-kickingness that Faith expresses.

I prefer the softer look of the eyes and face. The busty substances are a bit big, especially for a lady who works out so much.

I like the original one over all. The only thing I would change is her right eye (the one with out the star pattern) with the new moe version eye.

I prefer the original, fits the game setting and her personality. Every time I see Faith though I think if Lucy Liu, especially that one scene from Kill Bill when it showed Oren Ishi sniping that one guy in the limo. If it were a different game I would go with the new one...maybe :p.

Ah, this fanart is getting every. The problem I have with the original is her face just seems too manly. If they could just merge the two faces then it would probably look better. The hair on the second one is a bit nicer too. As for body, the original because the game's meant to be realistic and it fits the game and character more. I can't imagine a girl running around on rooftops with those bouncing everywhere. >_>

I prefer the moe version, I never liked the original western version because of the fact they drew her eyes looking like your stereotypical asian eyes through western viewpoint. Maybe its the art style the west draws.

Original looks better. If they wanted a moe character for the Japanese version, they should have created a new character instead changing the old one IMHO.

I like the original Faith much more! The new one is more than a "bukake-on-me"-version, but does not fit in the picture of a strong and independent woman. Would suck so bad to play as her.

well, faith was designed for a western audience more than a japanese one.

But I would be less concerned about how the main character looked and more on how the game is, well, crap.

i prefer the original version. the new one looks like shes 14 with a boob job who wants to help shop for groceries..or something of that nature.. not so much badass as the original. the original is much more realistic and is more believable of a character i think and also doesnt fit the female video game character stereotype .. which is boobs and ass and.. pretty much nothing else.

I prefer the "moe" version, but it's not really moe at all. It more gives me the impression of a strong and sexy character with an attitude.

The original version actually looks kind of ugly...I suppose that weather-worn look she normally has makes a little more sense, given her occupation, but it's just not as visually appealing to me.

Definetely getting the game after xmas, when prices go down (hopefully) and my pockets are loaded (again, hopefully) ^_^

Also, yeah, i like the moe version of Faith better - she looks younger and more attractive, though it won't matter much since you play in first-person and won't see much of her anyways...

I don't care about the 'eyelift', and the removal of the tattoo strikes me as unnecessary.

The game was originally designed with realistic drawing styles as opposed to anime. Because of this, adding a moe face looks awkward without changing the whole package... and by package, I mean all character designs. The eyes are kind of nice... except Faith is a runner and I doubt she needs to carry extra weight or to be a bigger target for the police.

I didn't actually notice the oppai (since it's not the first thing I look at) I just noticed the design around her right eye was missing.

The original is designed by a professional to fit the vibe and mood of the game. Honestly, if people "think" they know better than the developers, well maybe they should send their portfolio and apply for a job there. Reminds me of the time when some one did a photoshop of Diablo 3 screenshots.

Original is MUCH better, so much so that I wish i could vote multiple times. The reason she is so hot in the original is that she is not overtly sexualized. She is not a porn star(personally i think porn stars are ugly). She looks the part and comes off as an extremely attractive girl next door.

I mean big breasts are awesome in everyway but small ones are just as great. My gf wears an A cup and thats perfectly fine with me. The original one is better in my opinion.

Wow! I was just checking out the trailers of this game. Yesterday I read the PC mania of a classmate of mine and *PUF* I saw the review, screenshots and got hooked up by the sex! Now which one do I prefer!? That's probably the most difficult question for me this week. Let's see. Specifically for the upper image I choose 'moe'(but her breats are too pumped) but overall I think I'm gonna go with the original. In the trailer she does resemble a liitle bit Kyung Lah(^-^) from CNN, don't you think? And the 'moe' version really does look like Soi Fong.

Im quite fond of the new one, but Ill have to agree with the Japanese. I like the picture in the link a lot better where she has the tattoo on her eye still. It just adds a little something to the character.

i think i read somewhere some korean photoshopper made that. I don't mind the new version lol. Though I don't like the one in the link. Looks out of character for me.

EA already saw this I think and they are quite saddened that somebody went to change their vision. They didn't want a character that was all beauty and not "fit" for the type of character they were going for.

I've heard Mirror's Edge is a great game. I'd go and buy it but with Persona 4 being released so soon I'd quickly lose interest. XD

Visually I like the re-designed Faith because of the softness in her face and her eyes, younger look, as well as the added curves of the body (from an A to a C cup?). She still looks fierce, though not as much as the original.

I would enjoy playing the game with the re-designed Faith knowing she was such a cutie but be more vicious with the original since she gives off that bigger badass feel.

I know there is alot of controversial talk about this mirrors edge pic, but i'd have to say that the right looks much better in my eyes. While I respect the fact that the game designers wanted to make the character seem like a real person, the original just doesn't seem attractive. I don't think the developers wanted her to be "beautiful" but rather, tough and hard ass. If that's what they were going for, then they succeeded.

But you know the old saying, sex sells, so in many ways, there really isn't a reason to not make her attractive, especially since she is the main protagonist.

After I saw this Im sure glad i didn't buy that game

I played the demo of this game, and honestly all you see is the back of her head while she's jumping from building to building.
I like both.
