I don't have a Facebook yet. I feel like I have already joined too many social websites (deviantART, Friendster, Multiply) x_x

I check it everyday, just as I would with DC.com.
Danny, just wondering, do you read the private messages in facebook? There's something I'm itching to ask.

I just got me a facebook account last month to keep in tabs with the anime club I go to. Facebook is used as the primary source of setting up events, schedule changes, whatever. It's the go to if you will. It is also effective in getting to know the other members better when not in club.

However we are already FB friends Danny. Michael McKeen be my username there.

I used to use it virtually every hour but nowadays I just check it once or twice a day. Helped me get back in contact with many lost comrades that were swallowed by time.

I once had both a Facebook and a Myspace account, but I deleted my Myspace account not too long ago since I never found myself logging in any more. The only thing that peeves me about Facebook are the application invites my friends always send me. I end up blocking a lot of applications about turning into vampires, zombies etc. Other than that, it's my prime social networking site I go on. A lot of my friends check that site more than their cell phone/email lol

I am with you Danny, I have always avoided Facebook thinking that it's only for 16 years old. Then I downloaded the Facebook Apps and since then I have been checking my Facebook several times a day. I highly recommend the free Facebook app on the iPhone / iPod touch.

I get Facebook updated automatically from my Twitter and blogs, and am subscribed to my private RSS so I only go to the site to accept requests and ignore invitations to apps ^^

Social networking or social data collection service??? You continually read stories of people being harrassed, losing a job offer being stalked ect ect ect through their own fault in many cases. As what began as a university student networking application Facebook and others will be for many a pariah that will hang around their necks for the rest of their lives.

Check FB from time to time - find myself clicking it pretty unconsciously ^^". Even have the facebook toolbar installed for workplace's pc for work purposes (yes i swear it's for work ^^").

Hmm.. pretty much everyday, I think. Use it mainly for the Photo application and it's tagging function.

Anyway, yeah I have a Facebook which I mostly just use for apps, and while it's one way to get ahold of old friends it's also another way to use my friends to invite them to the apps I use and stuff.

Despite having a facebook account and even the app for my iphone, I don't actually spend that much time on it. It's usually only to read messages and assorted other things other people have left for me.

Guess that's why I'm not very active. I don't go out looking for people either, but I will accept those who ask.

DC.com is like my newspaper for me now, I check everyday and at least 3 times per day

I've had my facebook account a couple of years now and find that as time goes on I check my account more and more frequently. It's always nice to get a friend request from peers that I have neither spoken to or seen in many years. But, apparently, I am missing out on the business aspects of facebook. I will have to look into that.

I didn't until recently. But a lot of friends at a TV forum have accounts there, so I decided to take the plunge. Also, it's part of my new mission to get out more on the Internets.

I check sporadically and post infrequently. Haven't messed with any apps yet.

Only made a Facebook when I got to college because when I met new people they would always ask if I had one. So first day of school right after classes I went back to my place and made one, lol. It really allows you to keep in touch with people, I check mine at least 4 times a day (events get sent to me randomly).
But I see you updating there a lot also Danny. I can't escape you!!

I haven't created a Facebook account. Its a waste of time for me like my Myspace account.
My account for Myspace is silent and empty lol. It would be the same with Facebook. My mates
would just lose the hype for updating it and keeping in touch with any other people. My brother
used to go on Facebook every other hour and now he barely touches it, which means my friends are
doing the same. >.>;

I haven't created a facebook account, maybe I should though because networking is important to me for my business.

I got Facebook a year ago but I only use it as a forum of sorts. Namely the Fate/Stay Night Fans Unite group, Anime Figurines Network, and my school's anime club group. It's kind of funny because my more regular correspondants are Lightningsabre and other otakus rather than people I know IRL.

Well, that and someone from my calculus class request class notes from me on Facebook since I'm rarely on MSN.

I have a facebook account, but don't use it very much at all now that the novelty has worn off. I guess you need friends to make it fun T_T (jokes)

I don't really use Facebook - have an account, but mainly I only logon when people contact me. E-mail alerts are nice that way. For me, it's more a tool that makes it easier contact me, rather than for me to contact something else.

And some people mentioned concern over stalkers: never had to deal with them, but if you're doing what I do it wouldn't matter. They can't stalk and get information when you don't put it up there in the first place.

I can haz a facebook, but I usually check it and Dc at the same time. If anyone wants to add me (lord knows why :P) feel free.

I use it to escape boredom @ work. On it almost every hour as long as there are people to talk to and that I'm actually on the computer.

Facebook can be useful in business ways at times. Most of the time I just use to to communicate with my friends all around the world coz it beats using e-mail and I so hate friendster.

I use facebook to post most of my pics, and be in touch with other friends that I hardly see. I check it everyday, and I have to be honest since I found ur web I'm checking It everyday too. take care! L.S.

Not really a fan of social sites like facebook/friendster, so I very rarely check them, but I think it's a great way to keep in contact with old friends. And hmm, considering that possible employers also look at facebook...

We're already networked/friends, you can see my not so great photos there, lol.

I don't use it often now, it gets so overwhelming with all the invitations friends send you for quizzes, fan pages etc etc. Will take a look at your page again to see what you get up to xD

Don't do facebook yet (nor do I see a need to yet) but I still do have a myspace account which I only visit occasionally. Got bored of all the spam and crap that I only ever messaged real life friends and then just started a real blog instead of using myspace.

not remotely interested in something that will watse my time. i'd rather spend that time on learning japanese or do something constructive. used to have orkut but deleted the account. i know orkut and facebook are different but i hardly care for such sites...

its a great tool if you have friends seperated by distance and or those who are close by.

like real friends who also use it.

I'm on Facebook every day. I found it's a nice way of keeping in touch with old friends, as well as my friends right now. I had both Facebook & Myspace, but quit the latter because of those annoying bg music and page designs.

I check my Facebook many times a day.
Every time I launch my browser, it's automatic Facebook.com first.

It's seriously become a drug.

But Facebook is really good for social networking, keeping in touch with friends, sharing photos, finding old friends....

The only reason I have any account on these sites is because of boredom at the time of making them. I rarely used facebook until I got to University. It lets me keep in touch with old friends, college friends and my aniki (cheaper than phoning).

I'm one of those stubborn people who preach that Facebook is the root of all evil...well, close. I have no intention of opening up my private life to everyone, I don't feel like following other people's private lives that closely and I don't need another thing to take up my time, I'm already to addicted to gaming and anime ^^; And if I feel like staying in touch with people, I get their e-mail or Skype.
Besides, I don't trust the company with my information anyway.

i heard on the bbc world service that some people think facebook are for narcissists and i agree, given the heavy emphasis on revealing one's personal day to day happenings and whatnot.
i have seen my fair share of users commenting on just about every minor incident they encountered. unlike blogs, it's uninformative and annoying.
OR it could just be the extrovert in me talking... hmmm

I check it ever so often. Just when I have some spare time on my hands. I just see it as another way to keep up with my friends just like with email, calling and such.

I didn't know so many people thought badly of it. If you don't want people knowing what you're doing then just don't post about it on there, it's that simple. And if you don't want strangers reading it, then don't add them and set your profile so only friends can view it. :/

I'm on Facebook...not out of choice...had to join this year.. for the course I'm on... tis lame... but Danny-san being on it makes it more fun. I'm on deviantart though, have been for 5 years now.

Im a little paranoid about using social websites, because of security issues, abuse of personal data for commercial purposes and etc, etc.

Prefer creating blogs and writing about random issues or personal thoughts or whatever you feel like writing about. If one needs to be social, why not head over to your local cafe, arcade hall, bookstore, library or wherever people congregate to ?

Personal info should be at the very least secured from commercial use and kept to a miminum anyways.

Yeah, Facebook is mostly integral to being a University student.

I registered on Facebook just to see what the hype was all about but haven't gotten into it yet. I usually update my Multiply site more 'cos its much easier to post pics there. ^^

I know it sounds stereotypical but I vastly prefer MAL over Facebook, and I doubt I'll ever conform.

I check my Facebook several times a day and I find it better than MySpace. MySpace is cluttered with ads and Facebook is very tidy and quite clean. Finding something is still not 100% on FB, but MySpace was much worse. And FB has really come up here in Belgium and almost all my friends are one there. I'm still thinking MySpace will get seriously hurt by FB, and they're trying hard to keep up.

Facebook is a nice social site. I have one, but I don't check it THAT often because I think there is a lack of customization.

I check FB a few times a day, mostly to check on some of the game-type apps that I've added.

I don't go on FB much anymore. I use Digsby, which fuses all my instant messaging programs, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn into 1 program. Its only for Windows right now, but it will be coming out for Mac soon, so check that out when you get the chance.

Ever since I noticed you used Twitter to update Facebook status, I started doing the same and using Twitter a lot more ^^I Its so much easier to chat and see how friends are doing with txt messages instead of having to log into all my accounts.

I'm on everything. People just don't know how to confine themselves to one place, so I've got to venture everywhere to keep tabs on them all. All I have are Facebook and my old LJ. I joined deviantART to access some pages, but that's about it. (And I wouldn't be surprised if they tossed me for non use.) If they count, I'm also on IGN, Leoville and a few other message boards.

Most of my friend posts their photos on facebook. That's the main reason I use it for. Otherwise, I hardly do anything on it.

I've really liked facebook over myspace because it's much cleaner looking. I've moved away from home and it's a great way to keep in touch. Although I'm not sure how to feel about it being sort of like linked-in, where colleages might want to add you but you're not really "friends", but you want to remain professional with them and who knows what weird personal things they'll see on your page... Also I don't know how to feel about people from highschool who I was never friends with all of a sudden wanting to link with me on facebook...

Nope, i don't Facebook. I heard you have to prove to people you check their profiles on Facebook. I don't know if that's true though, i heard that from Howard Stern on a radio show where he bashed Facebook, MySpace & blogging.

I MySpace though. I recently merged my Street Art FlickR to my MySpace blog page. The same people who i had as a contact at my Street Art FlickR were also found on MySpace so i made an announcement and told everyone on FlickR i would be moving my photostream to my MySpace blog.

The FlickR link under my screen name here is based on my Anime interest.

Facebook is great for finding old friends, i met up with some people i lost contract with over my elementary school years. I even met up with the elementary school girl i had a crush on before but we don't talk ;_;

I don't use facebook. It can get to be a huge timesink and you can get those FB stalkers if you friend the wrong people. Some of my friends who have a few thousand friends have a hard time keeping up with who they know or who they really don't know when someone waves to them or says "hi" or asks about personal things around campus. It's kind of funny in a sad way.

I have a facebook, though I have the urge to purge it as I don't feel like that I'm putting out the "me" that I'm really am. I also have my own little policy of purging accounts with my personal info if I no longer feel the need for it so I feel the same way through this essentially. Maybe my views will improve... but overall, I'm not too fond of it. I'm more of deviantart person and a private-ish LJ on the side.

checks FB everyday as well for stuff like friends updates, news, blog rss, fan group news, bla bla la la. And now since danny has started uploading links of new articles there, i am also using it to get links on new danny's articles.
also use it for playing some games when extremely bored at office...like now..

I have a Facebook account but, I've only gone on twice since I registered (which was back in May)....
I never really had 'close' High School friends so, Facebook doesn't have 'that' great an affect on me XD

I check FB everyday along with DC.com...it's a good way to keep in touch with my friends who are studying in another states or abroad...movie studio huh? maybe we'll be seeing Danny on the silver screen in the near future...

I actually have to speak out a little- please at least credit Chun for her artwork in your deviantART. deviantART is for posting artwork you yourself have created...it's not really something like Photobucket where you can post whatever you like. It's a little frowned down upon, actually, to post art that you yourself didn't have a more intimate hand in. (Sketched it yourself, or inked it, or colored it...) Even if you may own the rights to it, it isn't right, really, that Chun isn't more prominently credited, but your name is on all the works.

I would like to see all the beautiful photos you have taken yourself, rather than the artwork you've commissioned from Chun, in your deviantART... a lot of people misunderstand what deviantART is about when they first join, so I hope you don't take any offense by what I'm saying. I'd like to see you have a good stay with deviantART and get feedback on your own work. Maybe you could even invite Chun to have her own account there as well!

This is a long belated comment, but I'm also on Facebook. I wasn't all that heavy of a user at first but have recently become reacquainted with some long lost folks. So, I've been using it more and more.
