MGS4
MGS4 (Metal Gear Solid 4) was running their trailers at this years TGS - just like it was running last year. I've seen so many trailers and promo clips for the game that I honestly don't know if the one they were showing was new or not.
Loved MGS since the PS1 version but am getting a bit tired of seeing all the promo stuff with no release date in sight.
I guess in the mean time we can entertain ourselves with the Medicom Toy figures.

Metal Gear online was up for play too. Never been to TGS on a public day before but on the business/press day, they give out goodies to entice folks to participate in playing the games. Some of the stands were quite sad with nobody wanting to play the demos available.
This has nothing to do with MGS but slipped into my batch upload folder by accident ^^;
Konami are releasing a yoga game for your NDS.
Now you can do Yoga anywhere - on the train, on top of a bus etc.
If you are going to TGS, do try and pick up this MGS booklet.
Looks like they spent quite a bit producing these booklets - full of photos, illustrations and that smell of a freshly pressed book.
One thing I did notice about some of the MGS4 demos that were running - the frames per second seemed to be low which gave a jerky camera pan. The smoothest camera work I've seen on the PS3 so far is Ninja Gaiden.
I hope they dont show MGS4 at TGS 2008 - which would mean that the damn game is still in development!

I have to say the TGS trailer was kind of disappointing. The Devil May Cry 4 long trailer is the best trailer i have seen from TGS so far. It has me super hyped for it now :O~

I love the MGS series, but, like the Silent hill games, i enjoy EXPERIENCING them more than actually playing them. The cutscenes are stunning, and the plots are good. Gameplay though? I think its a bit trial and error, the controls are fiddly and there isnt enough flexibility to experiment without getting your arse kicked. You get too many gadgets to carry too - a more 'realistic', carryable inventory would force you to consider each items strengths.
After MGS 1, the series went downhill gameplay-wise for me. I brought portable ops and was pretty dissapointed, so im not really that psyched about this because, judging from the gameplay vid they released a while back, the fundamental gameplay looks the same.
A total re-invention of the franchise (like in resident evil 4) is overdue methinks.
Saying that though, i DO want to see what happens in the games numerous superb cut scenes, and find out how the MGS saga ends. Not enough to buy a PS3 though :-D

I loved MGS1, Hated MGS2 and only got 3 because I got it signed by Hideo Kojima.

Hmm I think MGS4 is as overhyped as halo 3.
First one was enjoyable because it was new. Have not liked one since.
Maybe this one will be good but all I have seen is the usual well constructed hype generating footage hehe.

The series that disappointed me the most with time is probably Final Fantasy (FF VIII especially).
And about those "Kubrick" toys (simple cheap copies of LEGO)... Will not there be a certain family of a certain Stanley going to sue them? ^-^;

I love Metal Gear, Metal Gear 3 Subsistance is the best game I've ever played. Playing MGS 4 would be a deram come true, but I don't think it would be easy for me to get a PS 3.

Metal Gear Solid, I really like this game...
But I'm still anxiously waiting for my Raiden Medicom RAH from Play-Asia to arrive. What I like about the concept of the new Raiden is that Snake can also be upgraded to this immortal frame of technological advancement. So, if he dies in this part of the series...cyberization may be the answer... since death is like burning a whole library down, it's very tragic, isn't it? Maybe you'd want to check this out Dan:
