Are you in the middle of eating? If so then this news item may be of interest.
A man was arrested for scattering worms on a train because he got pleasure from seeing other passengers freak out.
Video below showing some of the cute worms which look like long rice or noodles that you may be in the middle of eating.

As for me - the only insects that I'm ok with are spiders. If I find one in the house I try to catch it and let it go alive out the window.
Insects that I'm not ok with are coackroaches and maggotty type ones ^^; Although I hear maggots have lots of protein and taste like peanuts?

Via Japan Probe and Sankaku. Image of Kagami consoling Konata who saw some of those worms from Gelbooru.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

      Insects have 6 legs.
Spiders have 8 legs and belong to another group. I'm not sure what that group is called in English but I do know that it only contains spiders and scorpions.

That makes sense. You should stay away from all those killer butterflies. I bet they can have deadly nectar on their trunks that you better avoid.

Just kidding. However you took me by surprise because I have never heard of fear of butterflies before. The only dangerous thing that I can think of regarding butterflies is that if you set up a light based butterfly trap during the night then those traps can attract hornets as well. It's no fun to set up a trap and once you return to check it, it's full of like 50 hornets.

For the record: those light traps aren't harmful. They are basically a special light on a white blanket. The butterflies then seek out the light and sits on the blanket. Once the light is gone they will fly away again unharmed. You shouldn't harm animals when you look at them ^^

They made a horror movie about butterflies????
I can't even imagine how that would work out. Well in the real world butterflies aren't that dangerous. Some of them look kind of unpleasant, but it's not like they will attack you on purpose. The most dangerous thing I can imagine is getting hit in the head by a big one while it's moving at top speed (which can be 50-60 km/h) or if you ride a fast bike without a helmet. But then again hitting a hornet would likely be worse.... wear a helmet :)

Cockroaches scare the hell out of me :( One time, I was washing the dishes and felt something scurry across my foot. I wasn't worried as much, so I kept washing the dishes until I felt something stay on my foot. It was a giant cockroach T_____T Luckily, no dishes were harmed, but I screamed and flailed trying to get the cockroach away from me.

I've also dealt with maggots once when taking out the trash when I was little. It was late at night and I saw little white things crawling around the trash bin, only to find out they were maggots later. I was mortified and didn't take out the trash for a good couple of months. T_T

I do like ladybugs, though! They're adorable. I let them crawl on me if they land on me.

I remember one year years ago. For some reason they exploded in numbers and were everywhere (almost like you can see sometimes with grasshoppers). They didn't have enough food for that many so they became really hungry and desperate. I then learned that ladybugs can bite >.<
Seriously, they tried everything for food, including humans. I only tried this once though and it may never happen again.

I'm poor with most kinds of arthropods. It's fine if I accidentally eat one or intentionally eat one (crab, shrimp, etc), but feeling their barbed limbs skittering across my skin is quite unpleasant. Catching a bug in your hand and having it claw around or bite or buzz helter skelter makes it easier for me to use a kill reflex than let it go somewhere outside.

Not afraid of insects but there are some I dislike and some I hate. Usually the ones I hate are the ones that either like my blood or has enough venom to hurt me. Everything else is ok although I dislike them in my house and will make an effort to move them outside. Like just now I saw a giant moth (not sure what kind), its a little bit smaller then a walnut. Don't know where it went but it was flying into the walls, most likely confused by my desk lamp as they are guided by lesser lights like the moon.

I'm not scared of the local spiders, partly because I know none of them are dangerous. I guess I am scared of tropical spiders since for all I know they can kill with a single bite. They also look a whole lot more scary.

I'm not scared of bugs. They can be annoying at time though (like when they decide to fly around between your head and your monitor).

I'm scared of the dark though. However it's not the darkness itself, but the possibility that somebody will show up with a knife or a gun and demand all my money. Alternatively I fear being run over in the dark. Sadly both scenarios are realistic here :(

I'm not scared of darkness in "safe" locations, like the basement.

The image in the newspost again reaffirms my belief that Konata and Kagami really match each other well. It somehow feels right.

As for insects, I really do not mind them. Have always been the one to remove insects from the house (alive) whenever my mom started screaming ever since I was like six years old. Mind, I dislike stuff that sucks blood or leaves itchy bites, but I don't think I'm afraid of any. Of course, there is a healthy respect for the ones that -are- dangerous.

I like spiders, and tend to keep them around, because they like to keep the abovementioned annoying bloodsuckers away. Even though spider-webs tend to look not very nice.

Depends on what kind of insects. I don't like cockroaches because when you step on them they really crunch and splatter. At least the ones here don't fly like in some places in Asia. Grasshoppers, spiders, and those kinds of things I don't really care about. But if there's a whole crap load of worms, albeit harmless ones, I would be really freaked out.
