Ero games title=

From now on going to try to bring you regular news on the latest eroge releases. Am only going to feature on the ones with the bishojo characters. All outgoing links in this post can be considered SFW not.

First up is Iroha Aki no yuuhi ni Kagefumi wo (いろは ~秋の夕日に影ふみを~) which seems to feature girls with neko mimi. I still dont get the neko mimi thing.

Akane Iro ni Somaru Zaka title=

Akane Iro ni Somaru Zaka (あかね色に染まる坂) which features a ton of rather cute girls - you may remember seeing them on this huge bedsheet (wouldn't you love to have one?).

Ero games title=

Next up is Step x Steady by Lover Soul.

Whenever you are viewing official sites for eroge, look for the word "キャラクター" (Characters) to see who's in the game and also look for "イベント" (event) or "ギャラリー" (gallery) or "CG" for the screen shots.

Ero games title=

Next is Lyrical Lyric (リリカル りりっく) - artwork by none other than Pink Chu Chu.

Ero games title=

More Lyrical Lyric - I've seen bed sheets with each of the characters printed on em. If you like Pink Chu Chu then you will want this.

Ero games title=

Ore wa Kanojo wo Shinjiteiru (俺は彼女を信じてる!).
Nosebleed function enabled.

Ero games title=

Illustration book for the game "Osanajimi to Amaku Ecchi ni Sugosu Houhou" (幼なじみと甘くエッチに過ごす方法) by illustrator Choco Chip. Nosebleed function dozo.

Ero games title=

The Megachu girls in their 2nd DVD. This is an ero DVD only - no game playing involved. Screencaps from the first DVD here.

Specialite title=

Specialite (すぺしゃりて) by Web Giga.

Ero games title=

Nami no Manimani Plus (波の間に間に ぷらす) by illustrator Peko who I mention in this post.

Ero games title=

Clear (クリア)by MoonStone.

Ero games title=

Piano no Mori no Mankai no Shita (ピアノの森の満開の下).

Ero games title=

Nono to Kuraso (ののと暮らそ). Click on the squares on this page to see some cute action!

Ero games title=

Kura no Naka wa Kiken ga Ippai (蔵の中はキケンがいっぱい!?) by Fandc.

Ero games title=

Koi suru Otome... (恋する乙女と守護の楯).

Summer Days title=

If you like School Days then you will like Summer Days - the official site.

Majiyome title=

Majiyome (まじよめ).

Circus Land title=

Circus Land for DC fans.

Ero games title=

If you like the work of Noiji Ito (Shakugan no Shana, Nanatsuiro Drops etc) then you will want to see Ito-sans ero work in this game Alice Parade (ALICEぱれーど) out in October - some screenshots on the official HP.
Interesting to see that Ito Noiji is using the name "Ito Zatsuon" (伊東雑音) for eroge illustrations.

All these games can be purchased at the Asobit game store in Chuou Dori Akihabara.
Those who cant get to Akihabara can have a look on J-List or through Amazon by using the Top selling 150 eroge ranking chart.

If you are interested in playing with eroge, Mac users can install Parallels - make sure DirectX is enabled on the virtual machine before booting up the image.

Windows users (Parallels users will have to do this too) should go into Regional Settings in the control panel to enable Japanese language display. Once that is done, you should have the option to add the Japanese input method.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

I'm surprised they let you just walk in with a camera and take pictures of all the new eroge. Do you have to ask for permission, or just sneak the camera in? Or is it allowed? In the states cameras aren't allowed in most stores.

Most people probably already know this, but those who want to install and run eroges on their XP machine, without having to reboot into the Japanese version of the OS, can install and run AppLocale.

Question for the Mac guys. Is it possible to install and run an eroge natively if you choose to use Boot Camp instead of Parallels?

I'd say anime characters are still a bit cuter in general. There's just a LOT of copy&paste character designs in eroge.

I believe females in Eroge are cuter, but this is often to the risk of exaggerated displays of feelings and characters (to the point of stereotyped behavior).
Anime characters are more human, more flawed, less superficial, but sometimes too much down-to-earth.

    Enough said.

I'm particularly interested in Akane-iro, Lyrical Lyric, Clear and Koisuru Otome, while Nono to Kuraso has me surprised: I can't believe that Nono of Yotsunoha is that popular! Just goes to show that I need to play more eroges (and broaden my understanding of Japanese -_-).

Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka is done by the same company behind Kono Aozona ni Mieru Oka, while Lyrical Lyric is from the company behind Miraroma, and Koisuru Otome to Shuugo no Tate is by AXL, which is a company that's released pretty good, but unpopular, eroges, like Tutorial Summer, or Hidamari. Not sure if anyone knows those titles, though.

Circus Land...hmm. I wonder if that's a tie-in to Eternal Fantasy? Needless to say, I'm also looking out for that.

Alice Parade is another title I'm looking forward too, as Noizi Itoh-sensei's art is on it. I have all the eroges that she's done art on! From Komorebi ni Yureru Tamshii no Koe, to Wasurenagusa, Peace@Pieces, and Nanatsuiro Drops, which are all released by UnisonShift Blossom, the team which Noizi Itoh likes to work with. Alice Parade would be their latest upcoming game, and I can't wait to see their take on the Alice in Wonderland story.

Girls in eroge are usually better drawn, and like D_Blade said, more exaggerated. That's what makes their appeal ;)

Oh, It'd be awesome if they get figures. I'd probably go after the heroines of the games I've listed out, and many more.

BTW,if anyone's interested in either School Days or Summer Days, you might want to know that both games require a ridiculous amount of patching in order to be playable. Just a head up, since the School Days series is stirring quite a lot of interest in the original eroge, along with Summer Days.

My biggest gripe abut these games is that the ones released in the US tend to suck. Less plot, more sex, y'know? Granted that's what sells here, but there's gotta be at least a niche market for "dating sims and whatnot from Japan that don't suck."

I'm sure we can come up with a better name, though.

Well, if you want sex-heavy eroges, there's the fetish-oriented eroges for that one. Tons of sex, and barely any plot.

You might also want to try Illusion's games, for that matter, but they're all in Japanese if I remember correctly.
