Rei Ayanami
Taken yesterday at the WHL. Are there any Shunya Yamashita fans out there who's not going to get this?
I thought that this was out before - it was but as a kit. Now Yamato is going to bring this gorgeous figure of Rei to us as a PVC - date is still TBD.
Probably the nicest figure I've seen of Rei so far.
Mr Yamashita must be pretty pleased to see his illustrations being turned into figures.
Hmmm. I like this one - think I will stick it in the wallpaper pool.

Even though I love how this figure looks, I'm not a big fan of Evangelion.. I would love to se a Motoko Kusanagi figure from the same artist though, now that is something I would buy in an instant :)

The figure looks realistic and i notice there is slight difference between the figure and the illustration. Kinda blows away the originality, nevertheless a stunning figure.

Beautiful illustration, as usual, but won't buy the figure. To me, she's definitely NOT Rei. Or I should say that I'm really not fond of "re-designed" character, excepted chibi or Super Deformed versions ^^;

The face and the hair are outstandingly done, but im just not too keen on the interpretation of her costume. Its just not Rei - i would have rather him make an original character with her hair and face.
I do still really like it, its just that ive gotta be brutally selective with my figure buying as im running out of space!
