UPDATE: Kemeko should be counted as 1 figure as its not fair on those who dont know its a 2-in-1.
You wont be able to get the answer right unless you look at the large version of this pic at Flickr - check *all* nooks and crannies or you will miss *that* small one...
Lowered bar to 7 months registration.

In a previous poll, many of you said that giveaways should be open to all readers. Some of you also mentioned that maybe some giveaways should be open to long time members too.

At Amazon, I learned the importance of rewarding and recognizing great staff and this time I would really like to reward the veteran members who have contributed so much to the community. Veterans are:-
- Registered for more than 7 months
- Has commented more than 1000 times
- Has been recently active ( ie not gone into lurk mode)

So just to be clear, I will be having different giveaways for different groups of members. Dont worry if you are not applicable this time round.
The next giveaway will be open to all members and the question will appear in my YouTube channel. It will appear without warning so you may want to register to my channel as I think you get mail as soon as I upload something ^^;

As for the question - couldn't think of an interesting one so I'm going to take FatB's idea of having you guess which Japanese publication I was interviewed by last Monday. The clue is this photo - it was taken during the interview.
You already know my line of work so you have a good chance of guessing. There is something about this photo which has something which is not normal by default. No photoshopping done though.

The magazine is actually listed in the Magazine Store. There are 200 mags on that page but I will be in one thats in the top 100 and has a cover image - ignore the "preparing image" ones.

Ah, the question was probably too easy so you are going to have to guess how many figures there are in this photo too ^^;
The large version is at my Flickr pool. You must look at the photo very carefully as some figures only show part of themselves.

Your answer should be like...

some mag title goes here
45 figures

You have two guesses. Members with correct answers will move onto the next round and battle it out among themselves ^^;

Deadline is next Wednesday end of day JST.
Arms installation is complete. Good Luck.

The prize for this giveaway will be Super Soniko which I have already secured for you. Yum.

This giveaway is brought to you by the good folks at HobbyLink Japan - they are also hiring.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Otaku category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

        and "argh, typo! What I really really meant was 42" ^^;

    Totally unrelated question, how do you keep the figures placed on your computer screen top from falling over Danny?
    I'm looking to put some up on my screen as well (space constraints on my desk) but wouldn't want them to topple and fall at the slightest nudge.

      I asked earlier 'cause I spotted it too, but no one answered since I got impatient and assumed not. ^^ It seems a bit unreasonable.

      I'm reading through these comments and a lot of the people who gave answers actually don't qualify and are just doing it to see how they did. Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against that. Just interesting, if a bit confusing 'cause I can't even tell how many valid entries there are any more. ^^;

    Ok just feel like answering it after all the effort spent on serious digging in the cyberspace even tough I'm late.

    The source (http://gimpo.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/moeplus/1226331457/)& (http://trendy.nikkeibp.co.jp/article/pickup/20081105/1020612/) which I gathered had lead me to rest my firm answer in "日経 Trendy"

    Total amount of figure is: 42 Figurines
    (Not sure if there is any figure beside that figma 01 Yuki's chair which is spotted under Danny's stormtrooper helmet chin.)

    Well, all the best to the early-bird comrades ^_^
