If the thought of laying your head on a girls lap while having her clean your hairy waxy ear holes then this may be the thing for you.

After paying 2,500 yen for 30 mins or 4,500 yen for 60 mins, a girl dressed in traditional Japanese clothing will let you lay your head in her warm lap while she gives your ears a good going over.
First off you get some tea and a cold oshibori (wet towel). You then lay your head in her lap where upon she uses cold lotion to give your ears a massage. After that she proceeds to clean out your ears with an ear cleansing utensil. She then takes your ear wax and stirs it into warm soda water where upon she drinks it right before your eyes.

The ear cleaning establishment is called Nagomiya and is located in Akihabara. Images from Akiba Map.

Ah, nearly forgot to mention that I was joking about the drinking of your soda-ear-wax cocktail.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

Ahh, ear cleaning. I dunno, but it feel like an erogenous zone ;) Especially if you lie your head facing her body- more effect. But... " She then takes your ear wax and stirs it into warm soda water where upon she drinks it right before your eyes."... To me, that makes the effect drop.

Oh how our childhoods affect us.. when I was little, my mother cleaned my ears, and it was one of the most relaxing peaceful things in the world. That's why I'd really like to try this. If my father had done it though, I'd probably feel the same as you, you think?

I'm hoping you're joking about the warm soda bit... if they really did that I'd strongly protest them from doing it if I was there. Blegh!

But it does sound like a fetish for a really hot woman to clean your ears for you. I might try it out sometime but from my past years of experience from my mom doing it when I was little... it makes it seem painful which I hope it isn't.

Agh - damn you - just read the bit at the bottom about it being a joke! I thought it sounded a bit too sadistic...
Curse my eagerness to post comments after reading an entry...

So - when can we see the official Danny Choo maid cafe virgin ceremony? Youve seen/ done most things with maids, but never visited a cafe!

Resting on the soft lap of a kimono-clad beauty sounds very nice, but I would also imagine that replacing the kimono (or yukata?) with a maid's white lace apron would also be heavenly.
A small question comes to mind, though. Even taking into account the drink and the oshibori, I imagine that your ears would get tired after more than half an hour of gentle scraping and cleaning... Especially if you opt for the 60 minute course :) There must be more going on than meets the ... ear?

ear wax is a source of high protein, but should not be taken out as our ears have the natural ability to push the wax out on its own. Furthermore the wax in the ear is there to protect the insides of the ear

ear wax is a source of high protein, but should not be taken out as our ears have the natural ability to push the wax out on its own. Furthermore the wax in the ear is there to protect the insides of the ear

That sounded so cool and romantic (just look at the first picture and you'll see what I'm talking about), until you go for your "drinking wax" line.
You are quite the dream-shatter specialist ;)

Still, personally, I would not be interested in that kind of services. Like for the "Foot massage by patented maid" one, I feel that the relationship is kind of fake. it is all about a service, like having a haircut, but worse because it is time-related.

I still have the mental image of one who would secretly look at some chronometer all the time or a watch precisely set for that purpose. That kills all kinds of dreams, and the worse is that your fantasies go for a high price, somehow. More for ear cleaning, that I don't feel particularly useful already.

I still have the mental image of one who would secretly look at some chronometer all the time or a watch precisely set for that purpose. That kills all kinds of dreams, and the worse is that your fantasies go for a high price, somehow. More for ear cleaning, that I don't feel particularly useful already.

DRAGUN, you should feel glad about that, she does care about you. Many would not give a darn care about their companion and look more about money.

Can be sad at times, but it's how it is.

and ya, having someone removing your ear wax is something quite nice. the feeling is so good that you tend to have a nice sleep after that. especially if you do that at night. My mum used to do it for me and it felt millions of times better than shooting out milk..but now, as i'm older, she doesn't do that. that's why we have such services!! ahh~~~~

Tiny Red Man, it is all cool. Some can't still realize that it is another trick from our favorite blogger.

I don't know about the "Maid Effect" you described there since I was able to avoid it along with the Alice one.
Hope I will continue this way.

Don't worry, between that and the toilet jokes, I don't feel there is a real problem.

Still, ear wax and soda, that was pretty elaborate once again. I could read in time not to freak out though. :)

DRAGUN: People can get crazy at times for this and that and sometimes it's a bit unexpected or unsettling. That's the spice of life.

Hopefully she enjoys doing that. There could be worse for a habit or expression of... joy?
Now the question remains if she does that for you, for her, for the both of you or for the others. At least enjoy those private moments. XD

Bad experiences with lady's cleaning my ears. Mom did it and I heard deafening tones and popping sounds for like a minute. I'd probably be too embarrassed to try it seeming how i clean out my ears once in a blue moon.

worst thing that you could hear when someones cleaning your ear "oops.." faintly in your other ear.

Ear cleaning is indeed quite the ppleasurable experience but, I would not trust just anyone with my ears, it's important to me >__<
Still, an interesting post on this service, Danny. I love the joke, seems that many people were confused by it XD

Well, ear cleaning is just a natural extension after all of health spas. What's so embarassing about getting your ears cleaned when some health spas see you nearly stripped naked and have your whole body get a scrub down?

Wasn't there a prize-winning manga that depicted a guy who went for ear cleaning?

yea my mom used to clean out my ears all the time, it sorta tickles, itches, hurts, and feels good all at the same time. she used like a little metal stick with like a tiny spoon on the end.
