Just a random guess but maybe 2-3 hours. I haven't done any graffiti myself so I would've know for sure ^^; I suppose they do have to do in at night unless they're ninja about it during the day.
This is probably the first time I can read a japanese term with kanji outside of school. 持ち means to carry, have, possess and 帰り means to return home so I guess it makes sense. I usually watch anime whenever I can which is everyday.
Process: 1. Read "two guesses" 2. Do not finish reading sentence and go straight to the clues. 3. Completely ignore "which you do not have to use in one go." This is my guess as to what happened and continues to happen.
I forgot to add something. If your unattended belongings are missing, there's a good chance that it's in the nearby lost and found. Very often do I see people go out of their way to return something to its owner.
