I think that's because there are hardly any rubbish bins in the streets unlike Manchester (my home town). I think it's a really good idea but it annoyed/confused me the first time I went down to London, I had to carry my rubbish everywhere with me.
I was surprised to see that straight after they'd appeared at that Hyper Japan they were appearing on Culture:Japan. Hard working! I regret not going to London now to see them.
I visited Ueda when I went to Japan and saw this entrance. It felt so awesome walking around the place the film was based. But where the main house actually is located is a little distance from the train station, so I didn't manage to go there. I fo...
I always wondered why there were so many and why their prices were do different just around corners. It was really strange seeing a vending machine in what seemed like a really quiet area as they're only in very, very busy areas here.
Hobby Search is main port of call for figures now. The only thing I don't like is that it keeps all of the orders I've cancelled in my profile which depresses me everytime I log on because I didn't have the money to buy them at the time.
I used to use Opera all the time. it was the only browser that had speed dial and tabs at the time. Jumped to Firefox because of the addons, then to Chrome because I like how minimal it is.
I built my own PC and after initially having Vista (which I didn't think was as bad as everyone made it out to be) 7 came out and I've been using that. The only problem I have with it is that when I wake it from sleeping it sometimes messes up. But w...
I would add video games and the technology that Japan produce to Danny's list. The honesty, kindness, and hardworking attitude of the people there are probably at the top of my list. The difference in attitude from the people here in England compare...
So much has changed. I really miss Akihabara, when I was there everywhere I went the stores were playing K-On on TVs or just the music on stereos. It felt like I was meant to be there.
I don't stick too many posters up as I don't want to ruin the walls where I am living now. I used to have some game posters and Gurren Lagann posters stuck up where I used to live but never any pretty girlies.
I think it wasn't until I watched Fullmetal Alchemist that I started to become interested in Japan. I remember reading a topic on a forum I used to visit frequently about anime and wondering why all these people enjoyed it and why it was so differen...
This is bringing back all the memories of when I was there just last month. I really want to go back with loads of money. I didn't have that much when I went so I didn't buy a lot of stuff I wanted.
I thought of visiting when I was on my way from Kyoto to Tokyo but I had my big-ish suitcase with me. Plus I was all templed out after going to Kyoto and I just wanted to get to Tokyo. Next time I'm in Japan I'll definitely visit Kamakura.
I really want one but I'm miffed that they didn't (show us now and) tell us of any new features which might be of some use. Instead they showed off a feature that's been around for years which no-one has fully utilized because no-one makes video call...
It looks from the pictures, and from your text, that the teachers actually try to teach and help their students learn useful skills. If only it was as good over here. There were no 'after school groups' when I was in High School unless you were part...
Awesome. Now I have a reference for when I go to Japan. When I lived in my hometown, Manchester, I could go by car to the airport. But I guess the train would be quicker. Where I live now I can get a train straight to it, only stopping at one stop al...
Awesome stuff. I can't wait to watch the show. I was trying to think of a name and 'Eye on Otaku' popped into my head, maybe 'with Danny Choo' coming after it. Then for the different segments in the show the name could change to 'Eye on Worldwide Ota...
I wish I took some photos but I was listening intently I forgot to take out my camera. It was great to be there, the atmosphere was unlike anything I'd experienced before.
