well some of the people in line were agents placed for the purpose of gaining as many people as possible..
well its a mindset of many "pure breed" Singaporeans, if there is a queue, whatever it is, its bound to be good...

Here in Singapore,the same thing happens...
I remember on local tv, once the local tv network did some kinda research by forming a completely random queue to find out how many people would join...
