東京フォトウォーク 5Thanks for the story on Kanemoto-san ! Its also great to hear something inspirational from time to time to remind ourselves to work harder ! :]
キャットシットワンYup, saw this at the Anime Fair last week alright, looking very good indeed. I talked to one of the guys from Anima (animation company who did this) but they do not have a fixed release date yet I think.
大湧谷Believe I was at the same place during a school visit years back, though we didn't get to stay overnight and enjoy the delights you had. That notice about the eggs selling out was hilarious, but then so are many other notices in Tokyo. :p
アマゾンとマイクロソフトAlways a pleasure and inspiration to read about your working experience, thanks for the great article.
Just out of coincidence, I once met Picard ( Patrick Stewart ) at one of the Ueno Museums a few years back, and asked him for an autograph. He was...
Wow, that is quite a turnoff indeed. Wasn't there a change in the immigration system recently stating that foreigners have to hold a certain level of Japanese proficiency, what happened to that ? It wasn't popular with the foreign community of course...
Unfortunately Hancock was a big anti-climax for me, Iron Man was very entertaining, and still waiting for Hulk to hit Tsutaya here. 25th huh, 3 more days !
Aww, looks a wee bit freakish, Takashi Murakami or not - I bumped into him last year in a shop in Broadway Nakano, and famous as he is he was shopping just like a regular dude, very cool.
朝まで生ワンホビテレビ 5Real time translating is tough work indeed. I had to do it for my director and producer during Freedom's screening at a animation festival in Singapore and it was pretty scary, especially when neither my Japanese nor English are particularly fantasti...
I've always wanted to visit Japan when I was a kid, and now that I am working here I think I know just what how you feel !
Anyway, hope you're feeling better Danny ! :]
一週間の東京 31Thanks for taking the time to meet up Danny, its was great hearing your insight on the various issues we talked about. Have a fantastic new year, and let's meet up again.
ps I like Matsuya's Tofu Chige too, its actually pretty tasty, especially for...
一週間の東京 5i actually prefer the airport limousine to the train; it takes me less than 1.5 hours to get back to Shinjuku from Narita, the ride's reasonably comfortable and your luggage is taken care of. Personal preference perhaps. :]
Couple of my colleagues worked on Ex Machina. The story was nothing to shout about, and I prefer the comic's more humourous style, but its eye candy alright.
一週間の東京 29I see you took ANA back home Danny. :] I had the same inflight meal on my way back 2 weeks ago. Wish they had a better selection of movies though.
一週間の東京 15Was at Saizeriya just yesterday, ordered the same spinach bacon dish you did, but that fried shrimp dish is an absolute ripoff, the actual dish is way smaller than the picture in the menu.
車内メイクI'm fairly amused by the entire series of this "please do it at home" posters I've seen so far, why can't the folks just put something up simple like "please be considerate" ? They must be trying too hard.
一週間の東京12Love the Hanami sights at Meguro River, I stayed close to the river when I first came to Japan and it was the first blossom I ever saw, totally unforgettable.
OLの制服I don't think any other country celebrate the OL occupation as much as Japan.
What's the name of that hilarious OL themed Japanese drama many years back, where a bunch of queer OLs call the shots in the big organization ? That was really enjoyable.
