Here in Germany you get registered automatically when you turn 18. Then you'll have to go to medical examination. Afterwards they tell you how much capable you are, meaning that if you're fully capable you can be deployed in every branch of the army....

At home I prefer the desktop but when I'm at university I use my laptop. I've got all my important data (for my studies) on it and I've complete access to the LAN at university, too.
Normally you get at least a table with twice the diagonal of that table, but however if you're in a cafe or something like that you will get a table with a similar size...
