Future of dannychoo.comI only came here for the figures. I have no interest in puchi blurbs or twitter or any of the non-figure-related photo articles.
Firefox 3.5Well, it seems to be not supporting ICC profiles v.4 Not sure if it's working as intended, a regression for sake of speed, or a bug.

A damn pity. Now when other Firefox 3.5 users view my photographs with m...
Shishido AkihaIt's approximately 160mm in height or 6.3 inches in Imperial.
And there seems to be two versions on preorder on Hobby Link Japan. O_o

D5000Love Nikon. Don't like the D5000 though, no in-body motor for older lenses, and wierd position for flip screen. What if you need to use a tripod and use flip screen for self portrait? No can do.
Though shooting in burst/high fps mode is great fun...
Tokyo Photo Walk 5Either will do. What specific area of photography are you looking into? I do product photography, well, mostly PVC figures. ^.^
I shoot with a Nikon D60, a Tamron 90mm macro, an external flash, a softbox and a bunch of other light modifiers.
Nikon LensesDanny, you seem to be awfully fond of the tilted/Dutch-angle shots. Please keep the horizon level. Uneven angle conveys a psychological uneasiness or tension in the subject.
Nikon LensesIs it worth getting an SLR? Depends on what you shoot. Sounds to me you're a street shooter. A compact point-n-shoot should suffice in good daylight.
If you desire in-door shots with low-lighting conditions, a DSLR is suitable.
Stay with your...
Nikon LensesDanny, are you going to review the Nikon DSLRs? Cause that's a lot of $$$ there in those cameras and lens.
I've noticed lately you've been only using the LX3 for pictures, most obviously due to its compactness and good image quality.
A Week in Tokyo 39Gateway FHD2400 24-inch 1920x1200 LCD monitor for general purpose and PC gaming due to its fast response time.
Will probably get a 2nd monitor for photography work, a Dell 2408WFP, 24-inch 1920x1200 for its amazing color accuracy even without calibr...
RapelayLOL @ the Japanese parliament caving into making a decision due to other governments' actions.
::sigh:: Japan is so weak geopolitical-wise... I guess it's for the best. Got to protect Japan's image and "purity" haha.
Katawa ShoujoThis looks really well-done, will get.
Danny, rather surprised that you were not aware about the offensive "j*p" term. Considering that you were raised in England, one of the Allied nations in WWII. The negative connotations for that ethnic slur s...
Anime DeclineHah. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But it is going to get worse. Why? Negative population growth in Japan. That equates to fewer and fewer young people(core demographic?) around to enjoy anime, buy anime, purchase anime-releated merchandi...
A Day in Tokyo 4I just follow the service/maintenance schedule that is in my car's owner's manual. The manufacturer built the car, they should very well know how and when the car should be maintained.
As for me knowing my car inside and out? No. But I do drive m...
NikonLenses so valuable? You don't seem to recall when Canon obsoleted their previous lens mount, FD mount? 1971-1987, about 16 years worth of lenses, basically worthless when Canon switched to the EF lens mount that's now current. Canon abandoned loyal...
Danny Choo Nikon CommercialOh. I just noticed another thing. The parts where Danny is holding the Nikon DSLR, darkened on purpose so as to not reveal the model number or shape of the camera? Secret model? Hehe.
Dolfie YokoWha!? Over 60,000 yen!? I must admit that Yoko is gorgeous, though I would rather spend that amount of money on photography lighting equipment or a Panasonic G1 DSLR.
Korea DollfieOh wow, the first picture. Normally I find dollfies creepy, but this one has the right kind of eyes(optical) that are more pleasant to look at and admire.
Are you sure this is Saber lol? The last two pics remind me of Reina from Queens Blade. XD
A Day in Tokyo 3Danny's using a Panasonic Lumix LX3, which he previously stated in a reply here, somewhere. ^^
The LX3 is a high-end compact point-n-shoot camera, costing as much as a entry-level DSLR. It's a compact made for photographers, with features that phot...
A Day in Tokyo 3Oh, I'm well aware of the GT-R dual-clutch automated manual gearbox. Paddle-shift isn't manual. It's a manu-matic(?).
I care not for the track times, I care more for the driving experience. Driving a standard transmission entails moving the shif...
Figure Photo SetupThat would be Pesmerga. Suikoden 2 was a great game, with great music. I wished I hadn't sold it, a long time ago. T_T
"Peshmerga" is actually a word in the Kurdish language. It's the term the Kurds used to refer to their armed fighters. Literal...
