I mostly love staying home and watching anime, reading manga or playing Playstation 3. Aside from this, I also like travel, languages, pâtisserie, bicycling, chocolate, music, cooking, sake, arts, literature, DJ'ing, technology and martial arts.
Mirai ItachariHappy Birthday Danny!!! Just curious-- what time of day were you born?? You and I may have been born within a few minutes or hours of each other! ^^
Good and Bad Ideas in JapanYikes. I'm just not a fan of Burger King, McDonald's, etc. If this was done at a burger place I like, I might try it, but this one.... no thanks. Anyway it's nearly 2,300 calories!! I wonder-- are any Nihonjin eating this? Maybe teenagers? It's seems...
Natto in JapanMy in-laws had a good laugh at my expense when my mother-in-law served for breakfast at their home in Sendai. It was a classic gaigokujin moment. I plan to try it again to see if I can acquire a taste for it. Let's not forget about THIS! http://www.d...
Night Star Pringles in JapanThose are the best Pringles I've ever had! I used to get them in London. Someone told me about Wonton Pringles recently but I couldn't find any.
Headphone GirlsEver since I started seeing these kinds of pics being posted on the web I've been hoping for a collection of them in book form. As soon as I saw Danny tweet about it, I immediately went to order it. I was shocked when I found that JList had already s...
Honda U3-XWow! A mass-production version! I've seen several different DIY versions of these recently. Look at this one!

Okonomi YakiWow it seems like So Cal is the place to be. Okonomiyaki is totally unavailable in Chicago. I am very lucky, though, because my wife makes it for me and it's SO DELICIOUS! She usually makes Hiroshima-style. Yummmm!!!
Bicycles in JapanI love cycling! it's my favourite mode of transportation. The problem in Chicago is the street traffic. Most motorists totally disregard bicyclists and it's illegal to ride on the sidewalks/pavement in the city so we have to share the road with cars...
Japan ElectionsWow! So the victory goes to Koizumi Shinjiro! Amazing-- the LDP party hasn't been defeated since the start of the 1950s except for that 1-year period in the 1990s. It wasn't even close! Well, let's see how it goes! I liked his father, former Prime Mi...
Japan EarthquakeI just woke up a short while ago and started seeing all of the news on Twitter. Since it's 2 A.M. in Japan right now, I can't call anyone to check on them. I'm glad that I can read about it here so that I know everyone is safe and there were no major...
HikikomoriEarlier in this thread someone mentioned "hoarding;" it's a psychiatric condition and I also believe that is what's happening here. I have never let my home become so cluttered and messy; I couldn't do it. If for no other reason, I would feel so sad...
HikikomoriI can relate to you-- I rarely go outside except to go to work, go shopping when needed and sometimes to eat. I wouldn't say my home is perfectly neat and clean but it's far away from being like those photos.
Japan Body InflationWow. This is the scariest-looking body-modification I have ever seen! There is no way I would ever do these things. I wonder what kinds of jobs these guys have; I can't imagine that being OK with most employers, other than body-mod studios. I wonder...
Japanese SkirtsI like 3, 4 and 5 - any of those are great, although I MUST agree with what most folks here said-- the middle one is the perfect length and shape. It's the most flattering to the rest of the girl's body.
Dumped GirlsI think the person who dumped them there is watching from inside a nearby window to get a laugh at people's reactions. Maybe there's a photo of Coco taking that photo. ^^
